Same Game Parlay of the Night: Best NBA Picks & Parlays Tonight | 1/1/22

Same-game parlays are one of the most exciting new forms of betting on sports. Not only are the payouts potentially massive, but they can also be +EV. Since all of the wagers take place in the same contest, it allows you to craft a narrative that can pay off royally if it hits. Same-game parlays become even better with the help of OddsShopper. It allows you to view all of the different wagers available for each game compared to the Awesemo NBA Projections. The wider the gap between the line and the projection, the more +EV the wager. This allows you to find the best NBA betting picks easily. Let’s dive into some of the best NBA picks and parlays tonight.

Best Same Game NBA Picks and Parlays Tonight: Warriors vs. Jazz

The first step is finding which sport you are going to wager on, so the banner at the top of the screen has the sports separated. Once you are on the NBA page, it is super simple to customize what you are looking for as far as teams and players on the left-hand side of the page.

Now, if you miss one of the odds highlighted in the article because it changed, do not worry. The lines do not always stay the same as they are updated every two minutes. There will be examples of when you can still wager based on the Awesemo projections. It is also easy to sort the props by what style you want to bet them, meaning that you can choose the highest ROI or the highest expected win rate.

Generally, the best approach is a mix of the highest ROI and expected win rate, and this process should take under 30 seconds to filter what you are looking for. The highlighted wagers in the article can also be bet individually, so if the parlay misses by one leg, it is not a total loss.

Donovan Mitchell Under 26.5 Points

Mitchell is the Jazz’s leading scorer, and he’s put together the most efficient scoring season of his career. Still, he’s far from a dead-eye shooter. He’s posted an effective field goal percentage of just 54.0%, which ranks merely eighth on the team.

Mitchell and the Jazz could struggle a bit more than usual on the offensive end on Saturday. The Warriors haven’t just been the best defensive in the league this season, but they’ve done it by a wide margin. They’ve allowed just 101.6 points per 100 possessions, and no other team has allowed less than 104.2. The Jazz have been the best offensive team in basketball, leading the league with an average of 116.0 points per game, but their implied team total vs. the Warriors sits at 114.25. That’s not a massive decrease, but it’s something.

Bojan Bogdanovic Under 17.5 Points

A lot of the same logic that applies to Mitchell also applies to Bogdanovic. Additionally, Bogdanovic has to deal with a bit more competition for playing time. Mitchell’s role as the Jazz’s top wing player is solidified, but Bogdanovic has to deal with Joe Ingles, Royce O’Neale, and Rudy Gay. Ingles will return to the lineup vs. the Warriors after missing their last game, so Bogdanovic will likely cede a few minutes to him. He racked up 34.5 minutes on Friday, but he had played 29.5 minutes or fewer in each of his previous five games.

Mike Conley Under 3.5 Rebounds

It’s always dangerous when you start taking unders on small numbers. Conley only needs four rebounds to kill this single-game parlay, and it only takes a few fluky bounces to make that happen.

Still, this is grading out as one of the strongest props is this game. OddsShopper gives the under on 3.5 boards a 73% expected win rate, making it a nice addition to our parlay.

Conley has not been particularly active as a rebounder this season. That’s not a surprise – Rudy Gobert has gobbled up virtually every rebound in sight for the Jazz – but Conley has averaged just 2.6 rebounds per game. Overall, he’s racked up three rebounds or fewer in 22 of his 31 games this season.

Finally, the Warriors are a tough matchup for rebounding. They rank third in the league in team rebound rate, pulling in 52.1% of their rebound opportunities. They’ve actually been slightly better in that department with Draymond Green off the court as well, increasing their rebound rate to 52.8%.

Andrew Wiggins Under 5.5 Rebounds

Let’s finish things off with the under on Wiggins’ rebounding prop. Adding that to our previous three wagers brings the potential payout on this same-game parlay to approximately +950 on DraftKings Sportsbook. That’s not astronomical, but I’m certainly not turning up my nose at it.

As good as the Warriors are on the glass, the Jazz are even better. They rank first in team rebound rate, and when combined with their offensive proficiency, it doesn’t give opposing teams many chances to hit the glass. The Jazz are allowing an average of 49.6 rebounds per game this season, which is the best mark in the league.

Wiggins also isn’t known for his rebounding ability. He’s averaged just 4.6 rebounds per game this season, and he’s had five rebounds or fewer in 19 of 30 games. Asking him to get less than six in this matchup is very reasonable.
