Prop Report Presented By No House Advantage | Sept. 22
NBA Picks: Danny Green — OVER 7.5 Points
The playoff Danny Green from the 2018-19 Raptors is starting to re-emerge at the right time with his new Lakers team. In the past four games, Green has surpassed the 7.5 points threshold every time, which includes 24 shot attempts in the past two. Any NBA player hoisting at that rate has a good chance of reaching double-digit scoring, let alone a career 40% 3-point shooter. Add in that he’s playing 27 minutes a game in these playoffs full of open looks as defenses hone in on LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and you have the recipe for an easy over prop on Danny Green’s points.
NBA Picks: Michael Porter Jr. — OVER 10.5 Points
Just by box-score watching, this feels like an easy over: 24.5 minutes, 14.5 points per game. I am obviously concerned he only received 20 minutes in a close Game 2, but in a do-or-die Game 3 I expect Mike Malone to give more run to the players that can help keep pace with the Lakers. Despite his defensive deficiencies, that would call for a heavier dosage of Porter, who has the size and ability to score from anywhere on the floor. He’s third on the Nuggets with a 23.6% usage and is happy to hoist any chance he gets. That makes me excited to hammer the over on 10.5 points for the young phenom tonight.
NBA Picks: Nikola Jokic — OVER 23.5 Points
I am definitely taking the overs on these point props on purpose. You see, something I’m trying to utilize more in my NHA lineups are ways to correlate my plays together. While each individual prop is its own independent variable, stacking a bunch of props together to account for a specific game script feels like another solid way to creating 5-for-5 lineups. It doesn’t hurt that I feel all of these lines are a little low, so I’m happy to correlate my plays for a shoot-out tonight and see what happens. Jokic is very good at the game of basketball. Play him.
