The Packers have been a ridiculously dominant first-half team this season thanks to building leads in the second quarter and never letting go. Green Bay leads the NFL in points scored in the first half, averaging 18.7 per game. It has rarely had a bad outing, and I don’t expect one in the biggest game of the season at home. Through 16 regular season games and last week’s playoff win, the Packers have now scored at least 14 points in the first half on 15 occasions. While one of the fails was against the Buccaneers, I’m willing to write that one off. Green Bay scored just 10 first-half points in Tampa and 13 in New Orleans — a game it came back to win. Both of those games were on the road, and the last one was in mid-October. That is 12 contests in a row in which the Packers have scored 14 or more points in the first half since the regular season run-in with the Bucs. Rodgers and company will keep rolling early at home.
