Best NFL Bets & Wild Card Predictions (Sunday)

Tom Brady Over 268.50 Passing Yards

One thing is for sure Brady will have to ice his right arm after this one. The Buccaneers attempted 56 more passes than any other team and threw a league-high 65.5% of the time. As a result of all these throws, Brady set career-highs in attempts, completions, and yards.

Brady has an excellent matchup as the Eagles allow opposing quarterbacks to complete a league-high 69.4% of their passes. Philadelphia also doesn’t get to the quarterback that much, blitzing just 16.4% of the time, which means Brady should have plenty of time to get the ball to Mike Evans, Rob Gronkowski, Tyler Johnson, and Breshad Perriman. Brady completed 34 of 42 passes for 297 yards along with two touchdowns and one interception in a week 6 28-22 victory. He is projected for 289.14 yards. OddsShopper gives the over a 69% chance of hitting with an expected ROI of 29%.

Jimmy Garoppolo Over 248.50 Passing Yards

Garoppolo had a fantastic season in his own right, although he was plagued by interceptions late in the season. He has the potential to have a monster day as long as he is given time to throw and is accurate. While the Cowboys allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete just  59.5% of their passes, they were only average at getting to the quarterback and surrendered the fourth-most yards per completion at 11.9. Meanwhile, Garoppolo is very mobile and likes to get the ball down the field. Garoppolo completed 68.3% of his passes on the season, failing to complete at least 65% of the throws in just 3 of 15 contests of 15 appearances. He led the NFL in yards per completion (12.7) and was second in yards per attempt (8.6). Moreover, Garoppolo threw for 252 yards per game as he had seven games of at least 296 yards, including four of his last five outings. He is projected for 273.89 yards, with OddsShopper giving the over a 65% chance of hitting with an expected ROI of 17%.

George Kittle Over 4.5 Receptions & 50.50 Receiving Yards

While sometimes forgotten, Kittle is one of the 49ers’ top two playmakers, and he needs to be involved in the offense if San Francisco is going to have any chance of pulling off the upset. Kittle is pretty sure-handed and the team’s most reliable receiver “hauling in” 75.5% of his nearly seven targets a game this year. Overall, he caught at least five passes in half of his 14 appearances and averaged 12.0 yards per reception. Kittle is projected for 5.94 receptions and 71.84 receiving yards. The over for receiving yard total is given a 71% chance of hitting with an expected ROI of 36%. Meanwhile, the over for receptions is given a 69% chance of hitting with an expected ROI of 35%.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Philadelphia Eagles Over 46 Points

This point total appears to be low. Tampa Bay is the No.2 scoring offense in the league, and Philadelphia is No. 15. Both teams rank in the top-10 in the league in scoring percentage, turnover percentage, third-down percentage, and red zone touchdown percentage. While the Buccaneers are the better defensive team, they allow over 20 points a game and give up quite a chunk of yards. Plus, the Bucs are only slightly above average in defensive third-down percentage. Meanwhile, the Eagles struggle mightily getting off the field on third down and in the red zone.

OddsShopper projects that there will be over 48 points scored in the game. Moreover, the total has reached 50 points in five of the eight games at Raymond James Stadium this year, and the teams combined for 50 points when they met in Philly earlier this year.
