Rushing Attempts: Clyde Edwards-Helaire OVER 7.5 (-143, DraftKings)

I feel the Chiefs will go very pass-heavy in this game, but I still can’t ignore how low the number of carries is for Edwards-Helaire. The rookie is playing for the second time since Week 15, and in the AFC Championship game he rushed 6 times for just 7 yards. It wasn’t an encouraging performance, and now Edwards-Helaire will be facing the league’s top rush defense. But that’s why we have the discount. Edwards-Helaire is still the starting running back for the favorite in this game, and he has had to weeks to find his health from a lower body injury. His role has to grow in this game. Edwards-Helaire went over 7.5 carries in 11 of 13 regular season games, including 11 carries against the Buccaneers in Week 12.

Receptions: Tyreek Hill OVER 6.5 (-143, BetMGM)

I might back Hill multiple ways in this game because I love the matchup so much. He finished with 13 catches for 269 and 3 touchdowns on 15 targets in Week 12 against Tampa, and while the Buccaneers have to change the gameplan this time around, the secondary is the obvious weakness of the defense. If you want to play the over on 92.5 yards receiving, I think that’s a great play. But I’m most confident that even if Hill doesn’t rip off a long one, the Chiefs will make sure he gets his touches. Hill wasn’t just catching the deep ball for his 3 touchdowns in the previous matchup, and he hauled in 13 total passes. Kansas City has put an emphasis on getting Hill the ball in the postseason, going for 8 receptions against the Browns (with almost a half of Chad Henne at quarterback) and 9 receptions against the Bills. Let’s assume a few screens for Hill is already in the gameplan; now we only need 4 receptions downfield to hit the over.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Mike Evans (+115, DraftKings)

Evans caught a career-high 15 touchdowns after joining forces with Tom Brady, becoming an even more elite red zone weapon. He enters the Super Bowl with a touchdown catch in each of Tampa’s last two playoff games, and he actually had a pair of touchdowns in the regular-season matchup against Kansas City. Evans has been the ultimate goal-line receiver this season, turning 15 targets inside the 10-yard line into 10 receptions — all 10 receptions were touchdowns.
