Fitzpatrick got the Miami offense going in the second half against Buffalo, and now he faces a defense with a far less menacing defensive line. Miami doesn’t have a strong enough running game to keep Fitzpatrick from throwing 40-50 times against Jacksonville, which has been susceptible against the pass. Jacksonville ranks 30th in terms of passing yards allowed and the five passing touchdowns the Jaguars have given up are in the bottom quarter of the league.
PointsBet is offering -165 odds on Fitzpatrick to eclipse 250 yards passing, which Phillip Rivers did in Week 1 against Jacksonville and Ryan Tannehill nearly did last week. The odds are only -200 on Fitzpatrick throwing at least two touchdown passes, which is disappointing, but the wager I really like has to do with Fitzpatrick’s turnovers. Rivers tossed two interceptions to the Jaguars and Fitzpatrick isn’t known for being careful with the ball when he’s throwing it.
