Steelers vs Titans Game Info
Pittsburgh Steelers (5-0, 1-0 Away) vs. Tennessee Titans (5-0, 3-0 Home)
Date: Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020
Time: 1 p.m. EST
Venue: Nissan Stadium — Nashville, TN
Coverage: CBS
The Steelers suffered a few notable injuries last week. Most notably, they lost talented linebacker Devin Bush for the season. Pittsburgh will also be without cornerback Mike Hilton and fullback Derek Watt. While the defense does take a hit with two notable players missing, this is still one of the most talented defensive fronts in football, and the Steelers also blitz more often than any other team (46.3%), so they will look to make Ryan Tannehill feel uneasy in the pocket, while also limiting Derek Henry on the ground with their second-ranked run defense.
Tannehill could be even more exposed this week, since the Titans also had a big loss in their last game. Left tackle Taylor Lewan was lost for the season, and there couldn’t be a worse time to throw a new lineman in there, facing a scary Steelers front. Still, Tennessee has been strong this season, tied for the fourth-most yards per play (6.2). Yes, their running game is their identity, but they have been able to move the ball through the air. In five games, Tannehill has completed nearly 70 percent of his passes for 1,370 yards and 13 touchdowns with two interceptions.
The Steelers defense against the Titans offense will be the featured matchup. However, the opposite could be the difference maker. The Steelers are no slouch on offense, with Ben Roethlisberger looking more and more confident with each game. Tennessee, however, has allowed 6.2 yards per play, which is tied for the third-worst in the league.
