Ten games fill up Tuesday night’s schedule in the NHL with all kinds of big-name players and teams to place some NHL bets on. Much of the focus will likely be placed in Toronto where the Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs take on the terrible Columbus Blue Jackets. There is a lot to get through and some great value for Tuesday, Dec. 7.

Islanders vs. Senators Over 5.5 (+100, SugarHouse)
In a matchup of two of the league’s worst defensive teams, this seems like an easy one to spot, and it is still offering above-average return. The Islanders and Senators have been awful on defense in every aspect, especially in terms of scoring chance prevention. On this slate there are no worse five-on-five teams at stopping opposing teams from possessing the puck and/or getting chances. More importantly, they are allowing teams to turn those chances into quality scoring chances, at over a 50% clip, and they are also allowing over 30 scoring chances per 60.
The Islanders have gotten decent goaltending this year, with a save percentage over 92, which may be their only saving grace this year. The Senators are on a back-to-back, which is why the number is staying low, but they are playing good hockey and won their third in a row last night in Jersey. Plain and simple, these teams are pitiful defensively and should be aided enough by their opposition to get to the number.

Morgan Rielly to Score a Point vs. Blue Jackets (-112, SugarHouse)
Even though this game is getting a lot of attention, Rielly is still a strong bet tonight. He is the Maple Leafs’ leader in ice time (24:12) and their power-play quarterback, but he has not picked up too much steam on the market yet. Rielly could see plenty of opportunities in the way of the Jackets’ league-worst defense in nearly every category, but he also may step up his involvement on the power play as well with Mitch Marner not in the picture. Toronto is going to score, and with 18 points in 26 games, Rielly should get into the mix.
