Caris LeVert Scores 20+ Points (-125 BetMGM)
BetMGM sliced the odds on this wager in half from -250 to -125, which is great value on Caris LeVert continuing is strong run of play. He’s eclipsed 20 points in four of the six games he’s played in the bubble and he’s now Brooklyn’s leading scorer with so many of the Nets’ stars out for the season. LeVert scored 37 points in the regular-season finale against the Portland Trail Blazers, a total he hadn’t reached since playing Toronto in February. LeVert scored at least 20 points in two of his three games against the Raptors this season.
What gives me so much confidence in this wager is how LeVert has adjusted his game in the bubble around his new role. He dished out nine assists in the loss to Portland, four days after having a season-best 13 assists against the Clippers. Now that LeVert is the primary distributor, Toronto has to defend him differently and take away passing lanes. That should open the door for LeVert to drive to the basket where he’s at his best. He is shooting 48 percent from the field in the bubble, but that includes some massive struggles from the perimeter where he’s making just 25 percent of his attempts.

NHL Odds
Boston Bruins Score First & Win (+220 DraftKings)
There are certain moments that tend to galvanize a team, and Tuukka Rask’s decision to opt out seems to have done that for the Bruins. They rallied around Jaroslav Halak for a big 3-1 victory Saturday in Game 3 of their series with Carolina, and Boston tends to play with momentum really well. Today’s fourth game will be a tougher task, but the Bruins won’t have to deal with Hurricanes winger Andrei Svechnikov, who is out indefinitely with a nasty lower body injury he suffered late in Saturday’s loss.
Boston won’t have its own top scorer in David Pastrnak, but the Bruins have seen its other three lines step up in a big way without Pastrnak in the lineup. David Krejci has been the team’s best forward in the series, and his partnership with linemates Jake DeBrusk and Ondrej Kase has made them incredibly dangerous around goal. That scoring depth is a big reason why I think Boston not only scores first in this game, but then goes on to win it. Without Svechnikov, the Hurricanes’ top line isn’t as potent, but it also takes away from their other three lines.
MLB Odds
Mike Trout Hits A Home Run (+300 DraftKings)
I normally hate these types of wagers because hitters can be swinging the bat well without hitting home runs. But Trout has hit a home run in every other game for the last week, and he didn’t hit one Sunday. Plus the Giants are planning to start Tyler Anderson tonight against the Angels, and Anderson has allowed at least one home run in seven of his 10 starts since the start of the 2019 season. As a team, San Francisco has allowed 39 home runs in 23 games, second most in the National League.
Trout is tied for the league-lead in home runs, he’s batting above .300 again this season and has a favorable matchup. Those are enough signs for me to take a chance on the slugger hitting one out of the park again tonight.
