Luka Doncic Scores 30+ Points (+105 BetMGM)

There are several sportsbooks where you can get an odds boost on Doncic recording a triple-double, but I wasn’t nearly as confident in that as I am in his scoring abilities. What attracted me to this offer from BetMGM was the dramatic rise in price from -143 to +105, which increases your winnings by 50 percent. Doncic proved he can be an unstoppable force for the Mavericks if he so chooses, and he’ll need to do that against the Clippers today.

The return of Kristaps Porzingis will help take some attention off Doncic by giving the Clippers another viable scoring option to guard semi-closely. I would expect Los Angeles to throw more defenders at Doncic and change its defensive approach, but that isn’t always enough to stop a great player like Doncic. It might be unreasonable to believe he can match his performance from Monday, but Dallas will need him to score today to win and Doncic will answer the call for his teammates.

NHL Odds

Philadelphia Flyers & Colorado Avalanche Win by 2+ Goals (+530 SugarHouse)

This wager is certainly a stretch given Philadelphia’s scoring drought, but after Carter Hart’s back-to-back shutouts, the Flyers’ offense will wake up to eliminate the Canadiens. Philadelphia was one of the most explosive teams during the round robin, and haven’t had a chance to replicate it against Montreal’s tight checking. The Canadiens are going to be playing for their season, so it should open up the chances for Philadelphia to re-establish its offensive dominance and turn its excellent defending into scoring.

You really don’t need to worry about Colorado after the Avalanche steamrolled the Coyotes in Game 4 on Monday. Arizona looked like a team about to fold in that loss and Colorado is eager to shut the door on the Coyotes riding Darcy Kuemper to a comeback. After the Avalanches scored four times on 22 shots against Kuemper on Monday, the aura surrounding the Arizona goalie has been busted and Colorado will go to work further demoralizing Arizona to finish the series.

Bayern Munich Wins By 3+ Goals (+175 DraftKings)

If you don’t pay attention to European soccer, just imagine Bayern Munich as the 2007 Patriots and Olympic Lyon as the rest of the NFL that season. Bayern Munich is playing its best soccer of the season in this tournament after dismantling Chelsea in the second leg of the Round of 16, then mauling Barcelona 8-2 in the quarterfinals. Lyon upset Juventus and Manchester City in consecutive weeks, but they still are plenty overmatched against the German giants.

Bayern Munich has scored at least three goals in its last five official matches and have simply overwhelmed opponents all season. Before Lyon scored three on Man City last week, it had only scored three goals once in the past 17 matches. That isn’t to say Lyon can’t play conservative and try to defend well enough to force a little magic on the counterattack, but it did finish seventh in the French league this season for a reason. Instead, it’s more likely we get a repeat of some sort of yesterday’s semifinal when PSG controlled the play for an easy 3-0 win over RB Leipzig with Bayern playing the part of PSG and Lyon as Leipzig.
