PGA Betting Picks: American Express Round 1 Matchups &

Whether you are a pro making your own PGA betting picks or just getting into the game, betting on golf provides a great way to sweat the action. Like most other professional sports, there are plenty of ways you can bet on golf; with outright winners, head-to-head matchups and plenty more, golf betting offers a wide array of wagers. There will certainly be an edge to be found every week, and I’ve found a few for this week’s American Express.

PGA Betting Round 1 Matchups

Si Woo Kim (-137) vs. Nate Lashley

The consistency is there for one of these golfers, while the other is going through an extended rough patch. This line of -137 is a lot of juice to pay, but in terms of expected round score, this is one of the largest differences for any of the offered matchups.

Patrick Reed (-150) vs. Gary Woodland

Eventually, this matchup will be much closer, both in terms of the line and the round expected score. But with Woodland still battling injury and Reed being his consistent usual self, it’s an easy bet for me until Woodland shows us something.

Denny McCarthy (+130) vs. Chris Kirk

This is a simple bet. I’m betting Kirk will have a bit of a letdown this week after one of the more emotional weeks of his career.

If you want to play all three of these matchups together, the payout jumps to 5.88-1. If you fancy just the favored matchups, you can parlay Kim and Reed together for a +189 payout.
