The NBA slate tonight presents five games and a few intriguing NBA betting matchups. Today’s NBA betting picks start off with the Boston Celtics up against a red hot Miami Heat squad, winners of five straight.
Best NBA Betting Picks Tonight | Nov. 4
Celtics vs. Heat
The Celtics pulled off a 13-point victory yesterday against the 2-7 Magic. Boston was able to hold Orlando to a season-low 79 points. Tonight will be a tougher test for Boston’s defense, as Miami is second in the league in both offensive efficiency and points scored per game. In addition, Miami has the No. 1 defense and is clicking on all cylinders. Miami is 3-0 at home, with convincing wins over Milwaukee, Orlando and Charlotte. Tonight Boston will try to cool down the Heat and build some momentum with back-to-back wins.
Jimmy Butler is playing at an MVP-caliber level while building some chemistry with his new teammate Kyle Lowry and Bam Adebayo. Do not forget about Tyler Herro, who is making an early case for Sixth Man of the Year, averaging 22.4 points while shooting 40.8% from 3-point territory off the bench. Boston is still looking for its complete identity under new coach Ime Udoka and only has one win against a team above .500. Miami has started the season with an impressive 6-1 record against the spread and 5-1 against the spread in its last six. Look for the Heat to continue their ways and take care of business at FTX Arena.
Best Bet for Tonight’s Game is Spread: Miami Heat -6

Thunder vs. Lakers
The Lakers are winners of five of their last six games, but opponents are managing to keep games close. The Lakers have a league-worst 2-6 record against the spread and have not won a game by more than 12 points this season. LeBron James is listed as questionable, but this is the same injury designation reported the past three games, which he ended up starting. These two teams have matched up once this season in Oklahoma City, where the Thunder rallied back from a 26-point deficit to defeat the Lakers 123-115. Keep in mind, James was inactive in the first matchup due to ankle soreness, so there is a possibility he will rest again in tonight’s matchup. While the Thunder will likely not win this one outright, LeBron or not, Oklahoma City has proven it can compete. Luguentz Dort was able to practice on Wednesday, which is a positive sign for his potential return to the lineup.
Russell Westbrook has admitted to early-season challenges adjusting to playing alongside James. To add on to those challenges, the Lakers are working with the oldest roster in the league, giving them more chances for nights off. Until Los Angeles can prove it can cover the spread against its competition, fade the Lakers and the Thunder to cover.
Best Bet for Tonight’s Game is Spread: Oklahoma City Thunder +13.5
