Sean B’s Best NBA Bets Today: Picks & Predictions for 11/19/2021

Thursday’s Best Bets went 2-0, cashing the Heat spread and under in the Philadelphia – Denver game. The favorites cleaned up the board covering the spread in four of five games, not including Memphis-Clippers (this game was a pick ’em). This weekend opens up with an action-packed night consisting of nine games. Let’s dive into the best bets to make tonight and overall NBA betting tips for Friday, Nov. 19.

Best NBA Betting Picks Tonight | Nov. 19

Warriors vs. Pistons

The Warriors will travel to Detroit on Friday night to close out a 3-game road trip after defeating the Cavaliers 104-89, improving to 13-2 on the year. Golden State was down 13 points after three quarters and managed to finish the game with an insane 36-8 fourth quarter comeback. Twenty of the 36 points came from Stephen Curry, who finished the night with 40 points and went 9-for-16 from 3-point range. Keep an eye on Curry’s status for Friday, as it was reported that he is dealing with some hip soreness after playing through a bruised left hip in last night’s game. The Warriors are on the second night of a back-to-back against a weak opponent, so this could be a good spot for him to get some rest. The Warriors’ No. 1 defense continues to impress by holding opponents to a 101.6 points per game. They will be up against a Pistons team that is averaging 98.2 points and only attempting 87.2 field goal attempts per game.

The Pistons come into this game winning three of their last five games. Tonight will be one of their toughest matchups of the season. Opposing teams with top-10 defenses are holding the Pistons to 85.8 points per game. Detroit will have to play faster with the Warriors controlling the pace. The Warriors offense will look to expose Detroit’s perimeter defense, which is allowing a league-worst 39.8% from 3. Golden State leads the league in 3-pointers made per game, with 15.

The Warriors total has gone under in 11 of their 15 games this season. Pistons totals have gone under in five of seven home games. The total is averaging 215.5 points per game in their last three games. If Curry is unable to suit up, this is a plus for the under, as he is averaging 5.7 3’s made per game. Expect the Warriors to put up a majority of the points in this one, but with their stingy defense, the Pistons will have trouble reaching 100 points. Take the under and look for Golden State to continue their impressive start to the season.

Best Bet for Tonight’s Game: Total Under 210.5 Points

***UPDATE: Stephen Curry (hip), Draymond Green (thigh) and Andre Iguodala (knee) all officially ruled out. As of this update, FanDuel has the best odds and they are offering a total line of Under 200 points.

Pacers vs. Hornets

Two teams going in opposite directions will face off on Friday Night. The Pacers are 6-10 on the season and are coming off a lost to the Pistons. Indiana has failed to score more than 89 points in their last two games. Tonight will be the first half of a back-to-back for the Pacers with the team traveling back to Indiana on Saturday to take on the Pelicans. Chris Duarte is questionable for tonight’s matchup with shoulder soreness, which has kept him out of the last two games. Duarte started off the season averaging 17.7 points per game in October but has since cooled off, scoring 10 or less in four of his last six games. Even if he is able to suit up, his shoulder could have a negative impact his shot.

The Hornets have won four straight, with some impressive wins over the Warriors and Wizards, both top teams in their respective conferences. Miles Bridges continues to make his case for the NBA’s Most Improved Player, averaging a career-high 21.3 points per game. The Hornets defense has stepped up tremendously during their four-game win streak, ranking third in the league in defensive rating. On top of the quality defense, Charlotte is averaging 112.2 points per game, the second most in the league. The Hornets will look to improve to 6-2 at home on the year and go for their fifth straight win. They will be without P.J. Washington, however.

These two teams matched up once this year in the season opener, with the Hornets winning 123-122 in a high-scoring affair. Tonight will be a different result if the Hornets continue to excel on the defensive end of the floor. Charlotte is 5-2 against the spread at home this year, while the Pacers are 4-6 against the spread on the road. With the Pacers offense struggling and Duarte questionable, look for the Hornets to handle business at home and cover the spread against the Pacers on Friday night.

Best Bet for Tonight’s Game: Charlotte Hornets -1.5 Points
