Let’s dive into the best bets to make tonight and overall NBA betting tips for Tuesday, Nov. 16.
Best NBA Betting Picks Tonight | Nov. 16
Warriors vs. Nets
The Warriors continue their four-game road trip Tuesday night at the Barclays Center. Golden State’s win streak ended at seven after dropping Sunday’s matchup in Charlotte 106-102. Tonight they will look to bounce back against the Nets, who are back home after an impressive 5-1 road trip.
The Nets come into tonight’s matchup ranked seventh in offensive efficiency and second in effective field goal percentage. Kevin Durant is leading the league in scoring, averaging 29.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists to start the season. James Harden got off to a rough start adjusting his game early on to the new NBA foul rule, but he has shown improvements in November, shooting 45.4% and posting double-digit assists in three straight. Harden needs to work on limiting the turnovers, but the Nets have shown enough offensive power to close out games.
The Warriors rank second in offensive efficiency and first in effective field goal percentage. Golden State is averaging a league-best 115.1 points per game. Stephen Curry making his case for his third MVP award, leading the team in points (28.1), rebounds (6.2) and assists per game (6.7). Warriors lead the league in 3-pointers made, with 15.2 per game. The Warriors defense will have a tough test tonight, as they have been fortunate enough to face the easiest strength of schedule thus far.
In their last three matchups the total is averaging 230.6 points per game. The Warriors are going to be up for a challenge trying to manage the task of guarding both Durant and Harden. With two high-powered offenses taking the court on prime-time television, expect this to be a high-scoring matchup on Tuesday night.
Best Bet for Tonight’s Game is Total: Over 221 points

76ers vs. Jazz
The 76ers will look to turn things around against the Jazz in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. Philadelphia has dropped four straight games after losing Joel Embiid to the NBA’s health and safety protocols. Tobias Harris looked good in his second game back, with a 32-point performance on Saturday versus the Pacers. The 76ers are struggling on the defensive end of the court without Embiid, ranking 28th in defensive rating over the past four games. Matisse Thybulle will miss another game alongside Embiid due to COVID-19 protocols. Danny Green has also been ruled out on Tuesday with a hamstring injury that occurred in Saturday’s game. Utah will make for a tough matchup after they have dropped back-to-back games at home.
The Jazz opened the season with an 8-5 record after two consecutive home losses to the Pacers and Heat. Last season the Jazz dominated at home going 27-14-1 against the spread inside Vivint Arena. Their defense has not played well the past two games, but tonight is the perfect spot for Utah to get back on track. Utah is third in offensive efficiency to start the year and is averaging 42.2 3-point attempts per game. The 76ers are letting opposing teams shoot 43% from deep over their last three games without Embiid.
Utah has the major advantage on the boards, especially without Embiid on the court. Tonight is the perfect bounce-back spot for the Jazz to get their defense back on track against a hobbled 76ers squad. Lay the points with Utah at Home on Tuesday.
Best Bet for Tonight’s Game is Spread: Utah Jazz -9.5
