Three bets stood out above the rest in the 4 p.m. ET window, so let’s see what best NFL prop bets are:

Week 8 Best NFL Player Prop Bets

Tyler Lockett: Over 3.5 Receptions, -115

Lockett has failed to reach this mark in each of the last two games, albeit with a new quarterback under center. It’s easy to blame Geno Smith for Lockett’s sudden dip in production, but the Seattle Seahawks did just face two of the tougher defenses in the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints, the latter with some inclement weather involved. This week’s outlook is much more optimistic against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that ranks dead-last in pass-defense DVOA.

According to Awesemo’s Player Props Tool, Lockett is projected for 5.2 receptions. The bet has an expected win rate of 77% with an expected return on investment of 38%. Prior to the last two games, Lockett had at least four catches in every game.

James Robinson: 69.5 Rushing Yards, -130

We’re not done with the Jacksonville-Seattle game just yet. Robinson and the Jaguars’ running game find themselves with a fantastic matchup against a Seahawks run defense that allows the third-most yards per carry. After a chaotic start in preparation to the season, the Jags remembered what a talented back they have. Robinson now has at least 15 carries and 70+ rushing yards in each of his last four games. The Jaguars are coming off their bye week, so Robinson’s fresh legs make him even more appealing.

According to Awesemo’s Player Props Tool, Robinson is projected to run for almost 20 yards over his prop number. The bet has a 72% expected win rate and 28% expected return on investment. So far this season, five different running backs have rushed for 80+ yards against the Seahawks.

Melvin Gordon: Over 42.5 Rushing Yards, -115

It was tough sledding for Gordon in last week’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns and perhaps, that’s why we’re getting a nice discount at 42.5 yards. He was held to a measly 18 yards on eight carries, so the crowd will surely be down on him. Gordon is still fighting off fellow RB Javonte Williams for touches in the Denver Broncos backfield, but the veteran seems determined to keep getting significant work. Gordon has received at least 10 touches and eight carries in every game this season.

According to Awesemo’s Player Props Tool, Gordon is projected to rush for 55 yards. This bet has an expected win rate of 70% with an expected return on investment of 31%. The Washington Football Team has decent numbers against the run, but they haven’t really been tested by a number of talented backs. Last week, the Green Bay Packers completely abandoned the run and that makes the bottom line look much better than it is.
