It was another double-digit triumph for the Phoenix Suns in Game 2 of their series against the Denver Nuggets. One of the top defenses in the NBA all season, Phoenix limited the damage of league MVP Nikola Jokic and shut down all other Nuggets in a rout. Could this finally be the year Chris Paul captures that elusive championship ring? Or will Denver manage to get back in this series on their home floor tonight? This Suns vs. Nuggets NBA betting picks preview will explore the best NBA betting odds, provide some key betting trends and offer the top NBA picks and predictions for the game.

Suns vs. Nuggets Betting Preview: NBA Picks & Odds
Phoenix Suns (57-23, 26-13 Away) vs. Denver Nuggets (51-29, 27-12 Home)
Date: Friday, June 11, 2021
Start Time: 10 p.m. EST
Venue: Ball Arena — Denver, Colo.
Unlike Game 1, no comeback was necessary for the Suns on Wednesday night. A suffocating defensive performance throughout allowed Phoenix to build a big lead that they would never relinquish. A 25-point blowout victory has the Suns in firm control as this series shifts to Colorado. Once again, it was a complete team effort in the box score. Three Suns players achieved double-double lines, including Devin Booker (18 points, 10 rebounds), Chris Paul (17 points, 15 assists) and Deandre Ayton (15 points, 10 rebounds). Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder and Torrey Craig all scored in double figures as well.
For the Nuggets, all they can do is pick up the pieces and look to get back into this NBA betting series tonight at home. Nikola Jokic played well once again in Game 2, scoring 23 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing six assists. However, that remains far from the kind of production he managed against the Trail Blazers in Round 1 of the playoffs. The Nuggets should be encouraged by the fact that Will Barton made his return from injury on Wednesday night. He scored 10 points in 16 minutes of action. While he will help the cause going forward, is it too little too late? Denver desperately needs Michael Porter Jr. to return to his first-round form offensively.

Suns vs. Nuggets Prediction
The Suns sure made it look easy in Game 2. While they will face an additional element by playing on the road for the next two games of this series, Phoenix has clearly established itself as the superior team after two games. The Nuggets’ lack of consistent offensive production is hurting them big time. Riding Nikola Jokic against one of the worst defenses in the NBA is one thing. Trying to do so against a Suns team that bases its identity off of its defense is a whole different animal. Tonight is a must-win for Denver, yet it’s hard not to look at the Suns catching points based on what we’ve seen play out thus far.
Prediction: Suns +2
