The Prop Report: NBA Picks Presented by No House Advantage | 9/25

Welcome to the Prop Report presented by No House Advantage! For those new to the site, NHA is a daily fantasy sports (DFS) app that offers prop-based contests across multiple sports. Simply pick your five favorite player props for a given slate, rank them five (most confident) through one (least confident) and receive those points for each prop that hits. The best part? Instead of facing a house advantage on props like you would with a sportsbook, No House Advantage has purely peer-to-peer contests with big cash prizes. Sign up here or download the app from the App Store to get started. I’m going to give you three NBA picks I have my eye on to utilize in your three-, four- and five-point confidence slots for Friday’s Celtics – Heat game.

The Prop Report: NBA Picks Presented By No House Advantage | Sept. 25

Jayson Tatum — OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made

You’re going to notice a trend in my picks today, as I want overs on the Celtics everywhere. My reasoning: Extended minutes in an elimination game. If you remember back to the Toronto Raptors series, starters on both sides saw their minutes jump well into the 40s. That extra bit of run can be make all the difference, especially when a prop doesn’t adjust. Tatum found his stroke in the second half Wednesday, as he started to find open looks within the confines of Heat’s zone defense en route to four made 3’s. More importantly, he took 11 shots from distance, the second time he’s attempted double-digit 3-point attempts in this series. Lock in this prop as the first of many overs to come for the Celtics on NHA.

Jaylen Brown — OVER 6.5 Rebounds

Extra minutes breed extra opportunity, although Brown already sees minutes into the 40s on the daily. But Brown has been averaging 6.8 rebounds per 36 minutes, so minutes into the 40s means this line sits about a full rebound too low. While the presence of Gordon Hayward back into the rotation might be a slight knock against his rebounding rate, Brown still went over this 6.5 number in both of the games since his return. My hunch is he makes it three in a row tonight, so feel free to smash the over on this NHA prop.

Goran Dragic — OVER 18.5 Points

I’m happy to fire exclusively Celtics overs tonight, but here’s one Heat play just in case. The masses might have forgotten how marvelous Dragic has been in these playoffs in the wake of Tyler Herro‘s massive performance. In fact, in this series alone he’s gone under 22 points only once in four games. As if that wasn’t good enough, in the Heat’s 13 total playoff games, Dragic’s averaging 21.3 points per game. That’s a ways away from 18.5, making this one of my favorite NBA picks of the night.
