The Prop Report: Top NBA Prop Bets for the Late Night Slate | 1/13

NBA Prop Bet No. 1: Brandon Ingram OVER 5.5 Assists

The Pelicans enter tonight’s matchup against the Clippers rather short-handed, as Eric Bledsoe, Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball and perhaps J.J. Redick. That leaves nearly all the playmaking duty on the shoulders of one Brandon Ingram, who is already averaging over 1.5 more assists this season than in 2019-20 (5.8). While Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are more than legitimate defenders, this is a volume play, as there is no one else suiting up for the Pelicans tonight capable of creating opportunities for others besides Ingram. Add in the advantageous -105 number, and I’m happy to invest in the over on Ingram assists tonight.

NBA Prop Bet No. 2: Marvin Bagley OVER 13.5 Points

I’m not sure what exactly is going on with Marvin Bagley‘s tenure in Sacramento, but I’m pretty sure they hate him. That being said, he’s still getting around upwards of 26 minutes a night, more than adequate for him to do work in a game with a robust 236 total. This matchup should look a little more like a track meet tonight, which makes me bullish on the prospect of him playing some extra back-up center minutes instead of Hassan Whiteside. That little boost is enough for me to prefer the over on 13.5 points for Bagley tonight at -110.
