The Giants finally found their first win last week, defeated the Washington Football Team by a single point. Daniel Jones finally found the end zone again, throwing his first touchdown since Week 1. While the defense for the Giants is not very good, it’s clear that the offense is what has been their biggest weakness.

According to Football Outsiders, the Giants offensive line has been playing better in pass protection than last season, ranking No. 19 overall. However, this unit is dead last in run blocking, while also having a league-worst stuff rate of 23 percent. Along with the loss of Saquon Barkley, this running game has done absolutely nothing, which has allowed defenses to cheat their scheme towards defending the pass.

The Eagles haven’t been much better, though we can credit much of this struggle to injuries. They lost two more important players from their offense last week for a couple games, with Zach Ertz and Miles Sanders both out Thursday. While tight end Dallas Goedert is nearing his return, signs are pointing to another absence. However, the Eagles should get a bit of an offensive boost with both Lane Johnson and DeSean Jackson expecting to be active, barring any setback.

Philadelphia continues to dig themselves holes in the beginning of games. Two weeks ago, they were down by 17 points in the third quarter, but they found a way to keep it competitive. Last week against the Ravens, Philadelphia was down by 18 points at the end of the third quarter. They fought their way back and had a chance to tie the game late. If the Eagles can play four complete quarters even somewhat consistently, the NFC East looks like their division to lose.
