Best NBA Bets Today: Player Props & Expert Betting

Mavericks Moneyline (-150) Over Cavaliers

The line has dropped over 30 points since the morning line.

Dallas (47-29) sits in fourth place in the Western Conference. While the Mavericks are in no real danger of falling out of the top six, they could enter the playoffs as high as the third seed or as low as a sixth seed. The Mavs are coming off a 128-100 victory over the Lakers last night behind Luka Doncic’s ninth triple-double of the season (34 points, 12 assists and 12 rebounds). Dallas has won two straight, and they own the second-best record since the All-Star break despite outscoring their opponents by less than a point in this stretch. However, they do have some solid recent victories and are 22-18 against teams bound for the playoffs, including 8-6 against the top eight teams in the Eastern Conference. Doncic has been tremendous over the five or so weeks, averaging nearly 30 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Meanwhile, Cleveland (42-33) has struggled mightily on the defensive end since Jarrett Allen went down with injury. The Cavaliers snapped a three-game losing streak on Monday and are now 5-6 without Allen. The Cavs sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, though they are just one game in back of the Raptors as well as 1.5 games in back of the fifth-place Bulls. Interior defense has been a major issue during this stretch, as the Cavs are permitting the fifth-most points to opposing teams’ frontcourts. They have given up 54 points in the paint a game, which is nearly 8 points above their season average. Now the Cavaliers can add Evan Mobley (ankle) to the inactive list, thus leaving  Lauri Markkanen, Kevin Love, Cedi Osman, Lamar Stevens, Moses Brown and Ed Davis as the only healthy players that can play either the four or five. OddsShopper gives the Mavericks a 55% chance of winning the game.

Wizards Moneyline (-150) Over Magic

This game should be a hard-fought, close contest. Both teams are essentially playing out the season, though the Wizards have not officially been eliminated from playoff contention. Neither squad enters the contest in good form, with the Magic having lost three straight. Orlando has not played well the road, and they are just 2-14 in games following two days off. Plus, they won’t have Wendell Carter Jr. or Jalen Suggs.

Washington has split its last six games, and they have played fairly well at home this season. Moreover, the Wizards have won all three of the previous games in the series, as they have shot the ball decently well. More importantly, the Wizards have been fantastic defensively in these games, holding opponents to an effective field goal percentage of 45%. OddsShopper gives the Wizards a 64% chance of winning and an expected ROI of 4%.

Keldon Johnson Under 19.5 Points

Johnson has been in a groove the last three games, as he has topped the 20-point mark in each of the last three games. While Johnson has played well over his last nine appearances, he has struggled against the Grizzlies this year. He has tallied 34 points on 30.2% shooting from the field and 27.3% from long distance over three appearances against the Grizzlies. Johnson is projected for 17.47 points. OddsShopper gives the under a 62% chance of hitting and an expected ROI of 18%.

Reggie Bullock Over 3.5 Rebounds

Bullock has attacked the glass with a vengeance over the last five games. He has grabbed four or more rebounds in six of 11 contests, averaging4.3 boards a game during this stretch. Bullock is projected for 4.56 rebounds. OddsShopper gives the over a 67% chance of hitting and an expected ROI of 30%.
