Best NBA Bets Today & Player Prop Picks from Awesemo Data Scientists | Kevin Durant 3/29/22

The Milwaukee Bucks visit the Philadelphia 76ers in a key Eastern Conference clash. The Bucks and 76ers both sit one game behind conference-leading Miami Heat, who snapped a four-game losing streak with a 127-100 over Sacramento last night. The Bulls, Nets and Lakers are other teams with important games tonight. A loss by the Lakers to the Mavericks will drop them out of the 10th spot in the Western Conference, and they likely will not have Lebron James, who suffered a sprained ankle on Sunday.

Best NBA Bets Today: Player Props & Expert Betting

Bucks and 76ers Over 231 Points

This game is crucial for both sides, as the squads enter the contest with identical 46-28 records. Philadelphia and Milwaukee are battling Miami (48-28) and Boston (47-29) for the top four seeds in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks and 76ers have split their first two matchups, so the winner will claim the season series. Expect a fun, hard-fought game that should involve lots of points. Each of the previous games has totaled at least 227 points, and the Sixers were without James Harden for both. The point total has increased by 2.5 points since the morning line.

Milwaukee is 4-3 over its last seven, with the three setbacks coming on the road. However, the Bucks have battled injuries to several players over this stretch, with Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo missing time. Milwaukee is the fifth-most efficient offensive team in the league, and they have upped their offensive production by nearly 8 points to 122.2 post All-Star break. The Bucks are shooting 48.1% from the field, 40.1% from the 3-point line and making 20.5 free throws a game. Defense has been an issue for them all season, but more so since the All-Star break. Milwaukee is permitting 117.2 points while allowing opponents to shoot 47.2% from the field and 38.7% from beyond the arc. Antetokounmpo has tossed in 62 total points in two games against the 76ers. Grayson Allen and Khris Middleton also had nice games versus Philadelphia, though each has missed one of the contests.

Philadelphia is 5-2 over its last seven, as Joel Embiid and Harden continue to be terrific when playing together. The 76ers are not the offensive machines that the Bucks are, but they are capable of putting points on the board if Harden is on top of his game, as they are great at getting to the free-throw line. The Sixers have topped 120 points in two of their last three games. Embiid had 42 points and 14 rebounds in his only appearance against the Bucks. Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey have also shown well against Milwaukee.

Bulls Moneyline (-170) Over Wizards & Under 222.5 Points

Chicago is also fighting for playoff position, although this game is more critical than the 76ers-Bucks matchup to those teams. The Bulls (43-32) have lost six of their last 10. As a result, they have dropped into a three-way tie for fifth in Eastern Conference with the Raptors and Cavaliers. One of those three teams will have to partake in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament, which everyone wants to avoid.

Chicago has shot the ball OK the last 10 games, but they have really struggled from beyond the arc. The Bulls also have not rebounded the ball well on the offensive end. While the Bulls have not been great defensively lately, they have been slightly better than the Wizards on that end.

Washington has won three of five, though none of those victories were against teams as good as the Bulls are. The Wizards have been decent on the offensive end, as Kristaps Porzingis has averaged 23.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists during this five-game stretch.

Chicago has defeated Washington in both of their matchups earlier in the season, and Zach LaVine and Coby White have been terrific in those games. DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic also performed well in those two contests. OddsShopper gives Chicago a 56% chance of winning the game.

Kevin Durant Over 27.5 Points

If Brooklyn hopes to host one of the Eastern Conference play-in games, they will have to ride the right arms of Durant and Kyrie Irving. Durant has been magnificent since returning to the court at the beginning of the month, as he has tallied 30.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 7.2 assists and connected on 51.2% of his field goal attempts while leading the Nets to a 7-5 record. He has also been all-worldly against the Pistons, putting up 102 points over the team’s first three games, including scoring 51 in the last meeting. Durant is projected for 30.52 points. OddsShopper gives the over a 63% chance of hitting with an expected ROI of 19%.
