Most Profitable NBA Playoff Game Bets For Tuesday 4/26/22

Game 5 is generally considered the most crucial in a seven-contest playoff series, as the team that goes up 3-2 in the series usually advances to the next step or round. Tonight features two such games out west, with the No. 2 Grizzlies hosting the No. 7 Timberwolves and the No. 1 Suns hosting the No. 8 Pelicans. Both of those games will be broadcast on TNT. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat will look to be the second Eastern Conference team to advance to the second round as they host the Atlanta Hawks up 3-1 in the series.

Best NBA Bets and Player Props

Heat Spread (-6) Over Hawks

The point spread has surprisingly crept down by a point since the opening line. Miami has been in control throughout the series and should continue their domination of Atlanta this year. The Heat are up 3-1 after blowing out the Hawks 110-86 on Sunday behind 36 points from Jimmy Butler. Butler has carried the Heat offensively throughout the series, averaging 30.5 points on 54.3% from the field and 43.8% from the 3-point line to go along with 7.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.8 steals. Miami is averaging 112.5 points on 46.8% shooting from the field and 36.6% from beyond the arc. They are outscoring the Hawks by 14.3 points a game and their last three victories have been by double-digits as they have completely handcuffed Trae Young. Young has failed to reach double-figures in two of the four games though he has topped the 20-point mark twice. More importantly, Miami is holding Young to just 35% shooting from the field and 21% from the 3-point line. They are also holding Bogdan Bogdanovic to under 41% shooting from the field. Overall, Atlanta is shooting just 44.4% shooting from the field, 32.7% from long distance and committing nearly 16 turnovers per contest through the first four games. De’Andre Hunter has played well for the Hawks.

Both teams are dealing with injuries with Kyle Lowry having been ruled out for the second straight game with a hamstring injury. P.J. Tucker (calf) and Caleb Martin (ankle) are questionable and Gabe Vincent (toe) is probable for the Heat. Similarly, Lou Williams (back) remains out for the Hawks with Clint Capela and Bogdanovic both questionable as they are dealing with knee injuries.

OddsShopper gives Miami a 71% chance of winning the game. The Heat are 6-2 this year against the Hawks with four of the victories by six or more points. The Heat have also won five straight against the Hawks and eight of nine overall. Moreover, Atlanta is just 17-27 away from home this season and their average scoring margin in those losses has been by more than 10 points.
