Hornets Spread (+13.5) Over Magic
Charlotte looks to be resigned to the 10th seed, but the Hornets have a great opportunity to have some momentum heading into the play-in game after two horrendous performances, beginning tonight.
Charlotte (40-39) is 1.5 games behind Atlanta for the ninth seed though it is more like 2.5, as the Hawks won the season series 3-1. The Hornets are coming off two straight losses where they were outscored 288-229 by the Heat and the 76ers. Still, the Hornets return home and are a high-flying team that has averaged nearly 118 points a game since March 1. Miles Bridges, Terry Rozier and LaMelo Ball each have averaged 20 or more points during this stretch.
However, this game has more to do with Orlando. The Magic continue to struggle to score, producing a league-low 104.7 points since the All-Star break. Moreover, Orlando has lost six of their last seven games with each of their last three setbacks being by at least 13 points. Overall, the Magic have been outscored by an average of 15.3 points over their last 12 setbacks. They will also be without their top three scorers in Cole Anthony, Franz Wagner and Wendell Carter Jr./strong>. Meanwhile, Admiral Schofield (knee) and Gary Harris (personal) are questionable.
OddsShopper gives the Hornets an 87% chance of winning the game and a 51% chance of covering the spread.
76ers Moneyline (-125) Over Raptors
This game should be like the first three matchups, which were close and highly competitive, as this is an important contest between squads that have been among the best in the league since the All-Star break. The 76ers are in a three-way battle for the second seed in the Eastern conference with the Celtics and Bucks. All three teams are 2.5 games behind conference-leading Miami, though Boston has a game in hand. Meanwhile, the Raptors (46-33) could essentially wrap up the fifth seed in the East with a win.
Philadelphia (49-30) has won three straight and is 14-7 with a plus 5.0 scoring margin since February 23. The 76ers have been pretty good offensively during this stretch, averaging 115 points, as Tyrese Maxey has turned the big three into a potential big four due to his superb play since the All-Star break. Joel Embiid continues to make a strong case for MVP and has played well against the Raptors, averaging 28.5 points, 12 rebounds and three assists. While the Sixers have been much better offensively since James Harden‘s arrival, they have had some difficulties on the defensive end. However, they have been pretty good on the road all season long and have held Toronto to an effective field goal percentage of just 48%. The keys to the game for the Sixers will be getting to the free throw and defensive rebounding, which they have done a better job of with Harden in the lineup.
Toronto is playing some really good basketball, having won six of seven and going 14-8 since the All-Star break. The Raptors have been winning recently due to increasing offensive efficiency, dominating the glass and playing solid overall defense. The Raptors have grabbed the second-most rebounds and third-most offensive boards during the second half of the season. They also rank third in defensive ranking during this stretch. Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes have stepped up their play over the last 22 outings, combining for 41.5 points along with 16 rebounds (4.7 offensive) and 8.9 assists a game.
Matisse Thybulle (ineligible) will not be available for the Sixers while O.G. Anunoby (thigh) could return for the Raptors after missing the previous two games.

Warriors Spread Over Lakers
The Warriors will have Curry back as they try to fend off the charging Mavericks for the third seed in the Western Conference. Golden State enters the game on a two-game winning streak and with a half-game advantage over Dallas for third place in the conference. The Warriors have been great at home, still owning the third-best home record at 30-10 with a nearly 10-point scoring margin despite their recent struggles overall.
Meanwhile, the Lakers’ disastrous season is finally coming to a conclusion. Los Angeles has lost seven straight and they may not have any of their Big 3. Plus, they have been terrible on the defensive and away from home all season, where they have gone 2-10 since the All-Star break, getting outscored by nearly 11 points per game.
Will Barton Over 14. 5 Points
Barton has been very inconsistent this season and is coming off a 9-point performance against the Spurs. However, he went for 25 in his previous outing and has hit double figures in six of his last eight games. Plus, Barton has thrived against the Grizzlies, as he has averaged 19 points along with 6.4 assists and 4.0 rebounds in three contests. Barton is projected for 16.21 points tonight. OddsShopper gives the over a 60% chance of hitting and an expected ROI of 19%.
