Best NBA Bets and Player Props

Raptors Spread (+8) Over 76ers

Philadelphia should wrap up the series today as they have dominated the series. But taking Toronto and the points here is the play as Joel Embiid’s right thumb injury is a concern, as well as the Raptors being far more competitive the last two games than they were in the first two contests in Philadelphia. Plus, Pascal Siakam finally got back on track in Game 4 with 34 points on 10 of 19 shooting from the field, with eight rebounds and two blocks. It was Siakam’s highest scoring output of the series though it was his third game over 20 points. Gary Trent Jr. also had his best game of the series in the Raptors win, and Scottie Barnes’ work on the glass was a big reason that Toronto won the rebounding battle. Barnes was injured in Game 1 and subsequently missed Game 2 and 3. The Raptors had 13 offensive rebounds the last time out, which is also a concern for the Sixers, who had limited Toronto to under 10 offensive rebounds over the first three games of the series. Fred VanVleet is out with a hip flexor.

The 76ers continue to excel on the offensive end with James Harden at the controls, though he struggled in Game 4, shooting just 29.8% from the field. The Sixers are 18-8 in games that Harden has played this season and they are shooting over 50% from the field in those games, including 49.2% from the field, 45.2% from beyond the arc and 82.6% from the free-throw line during the playoffs. Tobias Harris has been terrific in the series while Tyrese Maxey has thrived, although he did struggle a touch on Saturday. Matisse Thybulle will be able to play tonight after missing the trip to Toronto because of his vaccination status.

Mavericks Moneyline (-150) Over Jazz & Under 212.5 Points

Dallas returns home after splitting with Utah though the Mavericks nearly took a commanding lead. Rudy Gobert put in an alley-oop dunk with 11 seconds left and Spencer Dinwiddie’s 3-pointer was off the mark.

The Mavericks have proved that they are the better team in the series, despite playing the first three games without Luka Doncic. The Mavs have not shot the ball particularly well during the series though they have been great from beyond the arc and protected the ball well. They are making nearly 17 3-pointers a game at a nearly 39% clip. They also have done a fantastic job at defending the 3-point line, limiting the Jazz to 35.2% from beyond the arc on just 9.3 3’s a game.

Doncic was very good in his return, compiling 30 points on 11 of 21 shooting and grabbing 10 rebounds in Game 4. Moreover, Jalen Brunson continued his superb play and averages nearly 30 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists for the series. The key for the Mavericks will be keeping the Jazz off the foul line.

OddsShopper gives Dallas a 57% chance of winning the game.

Precious Achiuwa Under 11.5 Points

Achiuwa has impacted the series, even scoring 20 points in Game 3. However, he has been held to under double digits in three of the first four games and averages 10.3 points on just 46.5% shooting from the field. Plus, Achiuwa really is not an offensive threat and will likely lose some minutes with Barnes healthy. Achiuwa is projected for 9.28 points. OddsShopper gives the under a 66% chance of hitting and an expected ROI of 24%.
