The biggest contest on the slate is the battle for positioning in the play-in games as the Nets host the Cavaliers and the Hawks visit the Heat. Both Brooklyn and Atlanta are 42-38 on the season and are one game behind Cleveland for the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.

Best NBA Bets Today: Player Props & Expert Betting
Wizards Moneyline (-1) Over Knicks
This is pretty much a pick-’em game, and while both teams are just playing out the season, this is a compelling matchup. Both teams are looking to close the season strong, and each squad has been playing decently well. New York is 10-8 with a plus-4.1 scoring margin since March 1. The Knicks, like they have all season long, have played very well on the road during this stretch, as they have won seven of 11 by an average of over 9 points. R.J. Barrett has really been playing well despite his struggles in the second half against the Nets.
Meanwhile, Washington is 8-10 over their last 18, as they have been outscored by 3.4 points a game due to poor defense. The Wizards have been shooting the ball extremely well of late, but they have been even better at home, where have won six of nine while shooting 51.3% from the field. They are averaging nearly 120 points a game during this stretch. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s offensive resurgence and Rui Hachimura’s and Deni Avdija’s development have been big reasons for that. Caldwell-Pope is averaging 18.5 points on 53.5% shooting from the field since the All-Star break.
The teams split the first two games in New York. OddsShopper gives Washington a 53% of winning the game and covering the spread.
Heat Moneyline (+100) Over Hawks
Miami officially clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference thanks to Milwaukee’s victory over Boston last night. Meanwhile, Atlanta is trying to avoid finishing ninth or 10th in the conference. In order for the Hawks (42-38) to do that, they need to win out and get help from the Nets’ and Cavaliers’ last two opponents.
Miami (52-28) has won five straight and seems to be gearing up to make a long playoff run. The Heat have been very impressive during this winning streak, which includes big wins over the Raptors and Celtics and an impressive 144-114 blowout victory over the Hornets in their outing as four players topped the 20- point plateau. Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro have played very well over this five-game stretch, though the Heat have gotten contributions from nearly everybody. The Heat won’t have P.J. Tucker (calf) available tonight, and several other players are questionable. However, Kyle Lowry is expected to play after sitting out the victory over the Hornets.
Atlanta continues to put pressure on Brooklyn and Cleveland, as they have won seven of their last nine games. Trae Young has been magnificent over this stretch, averaging 30.2 points and 11.2 assists. Meanwhile, Danilo Gallinari, Kevin Huerter and Bogdan Bogdanovic have stepped up their offensive production, though defense continues to be an Achilles heel for them.
Miami has won two of the three matchups against Atlanta this year. Moreover, the Heat are very good at home, while the Hawks have struggled against good teams as well as on the road. OddsShopper gives the Heat a 54% chance of winning the game.

Seth Curry Over 12.5 Points
Curry is a sharpshooter who has been on target lately. He has scored in double figures in each of his last six games in which he has played at least 20 minutes, which includes tallying 15 or more points five times. Over the last 10 games, he is averaging 14 points and three 3-pointers while connecting on 50% of his shots from the field and 51.1% from the 3-point line. Moreover, Cleveland has struggled on the defensive end for the past month and is permitting its opponents to shoot over 38% from beyond the arc. Curry is projected for 13.32 points. OddsShopper gives the over a 55% chance of hitting and an expected ROI of 13%.
