Part of the reason Gordon’s assist streak might have been slowing down was Anthony emerging as a point guard. The rookie has finished with exactly 6 assists in three straight games, including Sunday in this exact matchup against Toronto. With Gordon’s point-forward role out of the rotation, it’ll be a group effort by the Magic, but there’s almost no choice but to let Anthony take the reigns as the distributor. Already clearing this 4.5 number consistently in recent games, look for Anthony to take his playmaking to the next level in the second half of the season, starting on Tuesday.
