Brad Riddell vs. Rafael Fiziev

A matchup of very exciting lightweights, Brad Ridell will be taking on Rafael Fiziev. Both fighters are on four-fight winning streaks in the UFC and this is honestly a great fight. Fiziev’s striking is some of the best in the UFC, but do not be fooled, Riddell is an excellent kickboxer himself. When it comes down to it, Riddell will have a cardio advantage and that is going to play a huge role as the fight goes on. It was very apparent that Fiziev was slowing down a lot in his last fight with Bobby Green. If his gas tank starts to wane in the later rounds, Riddell is going to take advantage, even possibly on the mat. Riddell is not afraid to mix in takedowns and it could be the x-factor in this fight. Fiziev does have tremendous power and there could be some dicey moments early for Riddell as he has been rocked before but he has shown to recover quickly and to be fairly durable. If Riddell was a small favorite in this fight, it would not have been shocking at all, but he is a small underdog in this bout, so there is tons of value on the moneyline here.

Jimmy Crute vs. Jamahal Hill

In a battle at light heavyweight, Jimmy Crute will be taking on Jamahal Hill. Both of these fighters are looking to rebound after short exits in their previous bouts. Crute lost by first-round doctor stoppage to Anthony Smith because of leg kicks, and by the end of the round, Crute was having major problems walking. Hill lost by first-round submission to Paul Craig and he suffered a dislocated in the process. Both of these fighters have good futures in the division but one of them has to lose tonight. On the feet, Hill should have the advantage, he is the better boxer without question. Crute is not awful on the feet and he will willingly exchange with Hill, but where Crute will have the advantage is on the mat. We saw when Craig took down Hill that Hill has very questionable decision making on the mat, and Crute is a much better wrestler than Craig. It would be fairly shocking if Hill could stuff all of Crute’s takedowns. As far as betting a finish here, you could look at some submission props, but Crute winning by submission is not the most likely scenario. The moneyline in the -170 range is still very good value and should be the bet on this fight.

Bryan Barberena vs. Darian Weeks

Darian Weeks will be making his UFC debut on short notice this week against Bryan Barberena, and this fight should be crazy while it lasts. Barberena was notoriously know for being insanely durable but his war with Vincente Luque really changed that. After being finished by Luque, he lost his next fight by TKO to Randy Brown. It would not be shocking to see Barberena hurt and finish Weeks because Weeks does leave his chin very open when he is rushing in, but at +420 to win by KO is a bet bettors should make. Of the three bets, this will be my smallest one, but I am putting it on my card because the line is very wide to me.
