Week 10 Thursday Night Football NFL Picks + Odds Boosts To Watch | Colts vs Titans

Odds boosts are exactly that: Promotions from sportsbooks where they move tin your favor on certain bets. Many of them are prop bets, hoping you’ll put a few dollars on someone to hit a home run or a certain team to score a certain number of goals and still win. Our job is to highlight some of those odds boosts and give you some NFL prop bets and picks to bet on, assuming it’s smart to buy into the NFL odds the sportsbooks are selling. We scour the internet trying to find the best odds boosts for you every day from every sport. In today’s edition, we look at the best odds boost for tonight’s Week 10 Thursday Night Football contest between the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans.

What stands out about this matchup is the wide variety of odds boosts on the market because there aren’t many players sportsbooks can focus on for this game. There are plenty of odds boosts out there surrounding Philip Rivers, and we tackle two of them in this post. And there are several out on Derrick Henry, who won’t appear in this column because Indianapolis has allowed 100 yards rushing just three times this season with its third-ranked rushing defense. But there was also an odds boosts on the Colts defense or special teams scoring a touchdown — which you can bet at DraftKings for +410 odds — and other props that aren’t available for most games.

NFL Odds: Week 10 Thursday Night Football Picks + Prop Bets

NFL Picks: Philip Rivers Throws 2+ Touchdowns & Colts Win (+280 FanDuel)

Rivers has only thrown 10 touchdown passes this season, but six of those came in the last three weeks. The veteran threw three touchdown passes against Cincinnati in Week 6, then three more in Week 8 against Detroit. It’s no surprise he didn’t have much success against Baltimore last week, but he had been rolling leading into that game. He’s facing a Tennessee defense that has already allowed 19 touchdown passes — fourth-most in the league — and ranks 27th in passing defense. It’s an excellent opportunity for Rivers to continue the strong play he had prior to the Ravens game last week.

This wager also requires the Colts to win, and that seems very plausible given the tailspin Tennessee has been on in recent weeks. The Titans lost back-to-back games, then struggled mightily in last week’s win over Chicago, gaining just 228 yards of offense. If it were not for the Bears’ inept offense, the Titans might be entering this matchup on a three-game skid. Indianapolis is allowing the fewest yards per game in the NFL and the third-fewest points, plus, as we mentioned above, its run defense is among the best in the league. The Colts offense isn’t spectacular, but Tennessee’s defense isn’t great either.

NFL Picks: Philip Rivers & Ryan Tannehill Each Throw Interception (+220 PointsBet)

Ryan Tannehill is more likely of these two quarterbacks to throw an interception, and who would have thought that before the season. The Colts lead the league with 11 interceptions this season and seven different defenders have picked off a pass already. Tannehill has only thrown three interceptions this season, but if any team is going to force those turnovers, it is the Colts. Indianapolis has some talented pass rushers that can put pressure on Tannehill and the defensive backs to jump routes and make plays on the ball.

Rivers is known for his ability to throw interceptions, and he has already thrown seven this season. He’s thrown at least one interception in five of Indianapolis’ eight games, including three of the last four. Tennessee isn’t too far behind Indianapolis with nine interceptions, three of which came from Ben Roethlisberger a few weeks ago. The Titans might allow a lot of passing yards, but they are also very aggressive at making plays on the ball, sometimes to their own detriment. Both of these teams are among the best in the league at intercepting passes, so it makes sense that both will come down with one tonight.
