This is actually a riskier bet than most people will realize because Wilson hasn’t thrown three touchdown passes in any of his last three games. He’s only rushed for one touchdown this season also, so this bet is largely focused on his arm against this Eagles defense. It’s hard to get a good read on Philadelphia’s defense because of the lack of quality offenses it has faced this season. Baltimore scored 30 points, Pittsburgh put up 38 and the Rams scored 37, but those all came in the first six weeks of the season. However, those were also the best offenses the Eagles have faced so far this season, which bodes well for the explosive Seahawks unit.
Wilson is bound to get back on track sooner rather than later, and that can be tonight against the Eagles. Although Philadelphia’s passing defense is the strength of their defense, it hasn’t been tested by a passing attack like the Seahawks this season. Wilson has seemed to solve his turnover issues, and he won’t face as much pressure from the Eagles pass rush, which will give him plenty of time to find his targets. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett will stretch this defense and a strong passing attack should lead the Seahawks to victory.
NFL Picks: Russell Wilson & Carson Wentz Throw 2+ Touchdowns (+320 DraftKings)
This bet centers on Wentz leading the Eagles to some scores in this game, which is actually more plausible than many would expect. Although Wentz does lead the league with 14 interceptions this season, he has thrown at least two touchdown passes in five of his last six games. He won’t be accurate, and he will likely have some turnovers, but Wentz throws touchdown passes more often than one would think. Seattle’s secondary is still the weak point of this defense, and the Eagles have enough weapons to score twice in this game.
Wilson’s torrid start has cooled off, but he has thrown at leas two touchdowns in nine of Seattle’s 10 games this season. The Eagles are actually a top-10 passing defense, but that’s likely because so few teams are throwing the ball against them late in games. It also helps that Philadelphia hasn’t played against an exciting crop of quarterbacks this season either. Seattle will test the Eagles secondary in new ways, and the emergence of Seattle’s running game will only help the Seahawks exploit Philadelphia. It’s hard to bet against Wilson throwing two touchdowns.

Metcalf has caught a touchdown in seven of Seattle’s 10 games this season, and he has done a lot with few catches in recent weeks. His size and athleticism makes him a strong red zone threat, and his speed will test the Eagles’ safeties if they try to slow down the run. Although his targets and receptions are down in recent weeks, Metcalf has still found the end zone and maintained an average of 15 yards per catch.
I might even be bold enough to take DraftKings’ +725 odds on Metcalf to score the first touchdown of the game. The Seahawks will need to get their top receiver going and might try to target him early to get him involved in the game. As the Eagles try to slow down the revitalized Seattle rushing attack, it will open the door for Wilson to find Metcalf on play-action and exploit some one-on-one matchups.
