Week 12 NFL Picks + NFL Odds Boosts To Watch | Kyler Murray + Nick Chubb

When it comes to NFL betting, there is often few better wagers to gamble on than NFL odds boosts. They are bets that are exactly what they sound like: Promotions from sportsbooks that move the odds in your favor on certain bets. Most of them are the specific prop bets that you might be searching for by yourself, and oftentimes the odds are fairly enticing. Rarely can you make a lot of money on these bets because of limits, but our job is to highlight the best NFL prop bets and NFL picks to wager on every weeks. We scour the internet trying to find the best NFL odds boosts for you every day from every sport. Let us look at the action-packed slate due on Sunday in Week 12 of the NFL season.

There have been plenty of changes to the schedule and the personnel for Week 12 due to COVID-19 and injuries, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a great set of games. Many of these games are littered with excellent opportunities at odds boosts like the matchup between Cam Newton and Kyler Murray. We delve into what those two quarterbacks can do with their legs this week as the Arizona Cardinals face the New England Patriots. Sticking with a battle of quarterbacks, we examine the arms of two young guns — Josh Allen and Justin Herbert — as the Buffalo Bills host the Los Angeles Chargers. In between, we head to Cleveland to check in on Nick Chubb and the Browns’ offense against the Jaguars.

Week 13 NFL Picks + NFL Odds Boosts

NFL Picks: Kyler Murray & Cam Newton 149.5+ Rushing Yards (+245 DraftKings)

Seattle did an excellent job last week at limiting how much Murray was able to run and how effective he was when he did rush. It stopped a four-week streak of at least 60 rushing yards and a five-game stretch of at least one rushing touchdown. The Patriots have struggled to stop the run this year, but what is more intriguing to me is the improvisation Murray will be able to do against New England. Unlike Lamar Jackson, Murray is a threat with his arm as well, so the Patriots won’t try to force Murray to pass. If the Patriots get pressure on Murray and he can escape the pocket, those one-on-one situations with defensive backs will benefit Murray. Those matchups might be enough for Murray to have his second 100-yard rushing performance of the season.

Newton, on the other hand, has not been very efficient recently with his legs as the Patriots have gotten healthier at running back. He has just 43 yards on 24 carries over the last three weeks, and he’s thrown at least 35 passes in two of the last three weeks. However, those have come against fairly decent defenses as well, and the Arizona unit is probably the worst he’s faced in the least three weeks. The Cardinals rushing defense ranks 23rd in the league, so those designed quarterback runs should have more success than in previous weeks.

For those gun shy about 150 combined rushing yards for these two, PointsBet is offering +135 odds that both quarterbacks will rush for at least 40 yards Sunday.

NFL Picks: Nick Chubb Scores First Touchdown & Browns Win (+700 FanDuel)

Since returning from injury two weeks ago, Chubb has had no issues readjusting to the speed of play within the Browns’ offense. He’s had consecutive 100-yard outings in his return to Cleveland’s run-heavy offense, and he’ll get plenty of carries again this week. The Jaguars rank 24th in rushing defense, and they face the third-ranked rushing offense, led by Chubb this week. Both of Cleveland’s offensive touchdowns the last two weeks have come on the ground with Chubb and Kareem Hunt both rushing for a score.

Chubb is the main back, and he’ll get a majority of those carries on the first drive. The Browns won’t force Baker Mayfield to throw the ball a lot if they don’t have to do so, and that is doubly true in the red zone. There is legitimate fear that Hunt might steal that score if the Browns look for more of a pass-catching option in the red zone. However, Chubb has breakaway ability for a long touchdown run and the durability to push through tackles in the red zone to make me believe he’ll score that first touchdown for the Browns. Given Mike Glennon is starting for Jacksonville, I think Cleveland should build a big early lead.

NFL Picks: Josh Allen & Justin Herbert 5+ Combined Touchdowns (+160 PointsBet)

Before the bye last week, Allen was coming off two big games for the Bills against the NFC West. He threw for five touchdowns and ran for another in those two weeks, and the Buffalo offense has exploded this season under his leadership. He’ll get a chance to show off his rejuvenated form against a Chargers defense that is vulnerable against good offenses. Allen has tossed multiple touchdowns in eight of Buffalo’s 10 games this season, and he’s rushed for five touchdowns as well. The loss of John Brown will limit the Bills offense, but Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley are excellent options to help keep the streak going for Allen.

On the other sideline is Herbert, who is having a remarkable rookie campaign for the Chargers. He’s less of a running threat, though he leads the team with three rushing touchdowns, and he’ll more likely take aim at a banged-up Bills secondary. Herbert has thrown 22 touchdowns in nine starts, and he’s thrown at least three touchdowns in five of his last seven games. Even with Austin Ekeler expected to be active Sunday, Herbert’s arm is still the main weapon for this Chargers offense. He’ll have his chances to score against a Bills secondary that is very thin at cornerback right now.
