NFL Odds Shopping + NFL Picks: Sunday Night Football Seahawks vs Cardinals

Seahawks -3 (PointsBet)

The only sportsbook offering 3 points in favor of the Seahawks, this half point makes a big difference. While neither team has faced stellar competition, the Cardinals in particular struggled with a few beatable teams. The Cardinals dropped back-to-back games to the Lions and the Panthers prior to their most recent winning streak. Meanwhile, the Seahawks put together a few impressive performances, including a win over the New England Patriots.

Digging into the matchup, Russell Wilson continues to play at MVP levels for the Seahawks. While the Arizona defense has only allowed 6.1 yards per pass attempt, (27th), Wilson ranks first in yards per pass attempt himself (8.9). Impressively, Wilson is also completing 72.8% of his passes, which ranks second in the NFL.

On top of Wilson’s overall efficiency, Arizona may struggle to rush the passer. The Cardinals lost Chandler Jones for the season, severely limiting their ability to pressure opposing signal-callers. With Wilson possessing elite weapons in D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, the Seahawks remain the primarily play ahead of Sunday Night Football.

DK Metcalf – Over 68.5 Receiving Yards (PointsBet)

One of the biggest mismatches between the Awesemo projections and the OddShopper tool, Metcalf’s receiving prop currently sits at 68.5 yards across sportsbooks. According to the projections alone, Metcalf’s receiving yardage totals sit at 85.2. Factor in a potential shootout against the Cardinals, and Metcalf looks like one of the top player props on the Sunday Night Football board.

Digging into Metcalf specifically, he holds a 24.2% target share in Seattle’s offense. He has also separated himself from Lockett in recent games. In their last two contests, Metcalf has out-targeted Lockett 17-9. Metcalf also holds a 45% share of Seattle’s air yards, giving him the big-play ability to reach his player prop on only a few receptions.

While the Cardinals defense has played well against opposing passing attacks, Metcalf’s monstrous role within Seattle’s offense continues to be discounted by sportsbooks. He remains a top bet ahead of Sunday Night Football in Week 7.
