⛳ PGA DFS Picks: AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM Round 4 l Jordan Spieth

Round 4 of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM has interesting action for a Sunday slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel, and we have some great PGA DFS picks on the board, including all of my favorites. With a big basketball slate and a monster car race tomorrow, eyes might not be as focused on the daily fantasy golf slate, which will work to the advantage of sharp players. We’re making selections utilizing tournament play data and Awesemo’s projections and ownership to find the best PGA DFS picks available for Sunday’s slate.

PGA DFS Picks: AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM | Round 4

Previous Round Recap

With conditions the most difficult they’ve been all week, the back nine at Pebble played incredibly tough all day. Kevin Streelman, one of the first guys out on the course, had the round of the day at 67. The conditions should flip tomorrow with calm weather and the highest temperatures of the week expected. That should create a shootout-like atmosphere. Seven golfers carded 68s on the day, including Will Gordon, who was 2 over for his round at one point but ended up playing his last 14 holes in 6 under. He’ll have a chance at a top-10 tomorrow.

The lead was Daniel Berger’s throughout most of the day, as Jordan Spieth struggled to get his approach game going. That all changed on 16 as Spieth holed out his second shot from the fairway this week, tying Berger at 13 under. They both made par on 17, and then they came to 18 tee. Spieth stepped up and piped one down the middle, while Berger blew one way right, ending up out of bounds. He made double bogey, giving Spieth a 2-stroke lead heading into Sunday.

General Strategy and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM PGA DFS Picks

Finishing points will play a big factor in tomorrow’s showdown contest, particularly given the fact that 25 golfers are within 4 strokes of second place. That should make lineups move quite a bit with every birdie made on the course.

Top 10

I played for my guys to be here, and they are. Now, can they seal the deal? Patrick Cantlay‘s ball striking has looked on point all week except for the 10th tee at Spyglass yesterday, but his putter absolutely deserted him today. Still, he found his way into a tie for second and sits just 2 back of Spieth. Obviously, many will copy my week-long strategy tomorrow and stack those two, along with Berger.

Stacking all three will be a bit difficult; it is doable, but the lines aren’t all that sexy. The odd man out, and certainly an against-the-grain play for the final-round slate tomorrow, is Paul Casey. The 17th-ranked golfer in the world had a fantastic save from the beach, saving par on 18 after duck-hooking his drive into the sand.

Three others in the top 10 will all be highly owned heading into Sunday. Russell Knox, Tom Hoge and Nate Lashley are all appealing at their prices, and we can roster all three with Spieth and Cantlay.

PGA DFS Pick Outside the Top 10

William Gordon ($7,300)

After some of the easiest holes on the course, Gordon walked off the fifth green at 2over for the day. But after a birdie on six, he was able to play his last 13 holes of the day at 6-under. That has him in position for a strong finish yet again. He showed some great resilience today, and his ball striking started to pick up as he gained more momentum. Look for Gordon to make an early run tomorrow. If he can play the challenging holes like he did today, he’ll be in the mix for a top-five come day’s end.

Sneaky PGA DFS Pick for Round 4

Beau Hossler ($7,100)

Following a bunch of missed cuts in a row, it was time for Hossler to break through. He found the irons and putter combination in Round 3. That gives him an outside chance of a top-10, which would be his first of the season. Hossler can light it up on the greens, to the tune of over 3 strokes today. That is not typically a one-day occurrence.

DraftKings and FanDuel AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Lineup Fill-Ins

  • Max Homa ($8,700)
  • Akshay Bhatia ($7,900)
  • Scott Stallings ($6,700)
  • Vaughn Taylor ($6,700)
