As great as Super Bowl Sunday is, there is no Sunday like Sunday at Augusta. Add in huge PGA DFS contests, and it’s a great closing to an amazing week. Just as a reminder, this is a quick-hitter column with all of the key stats needed to make informed PGA DFS picks in your DraftKings and FanDuel daily fantasy golf lineups. In this space, I’ll give you a few recommendations for the final round of The Masters. In typical Showdown GPPs, DraftKings offers upwards of $50,000 to first place for second- and third-round tournaments, and sometimes even up to $100,000 for the final round. They also provide weekend-long contests that offer $25,000 to first place on average. FanDuel has even tried to get into the weekend-long and final-round contests, offering $10,000 and $5,000 to first place in their PGA DFS Showdown contests. Let’s take a look at PGA DFS picks for Round 4 of The Masters.
Final Round PGA DFS Picks: The Masters
Previous Round Recap
Phil Mickelson gave fans something to cheer for right as coverage came on the air, as he had one of only rounds in the 60s in Round 3. Conditions worsened as the day went on until the storm came and suspended play. Luckily for the leaders, when they came back on, the course conditions were benign and greens were soft. No one took advantage more than Hideki Matsuyama, who matched Justin Rose’s tournament low of 65 and jetted out to a four-shot lead. He leads over four golfers, and he’ll pair up with Xander Schauffele again in the fourth round. Marc Leishman is also in position sitting just 4 back, while Matsuyama is joined only by Will Zalatoris as the only golfers in the field that have an under-par score in every round.
Notables
Jordan Spieth will have a chance to win another green jacket tomorrow but will need something in the neighborhood of a tournament-low 64 to have a chance to win. He has shot that once before at Augusta, in the first round of the 2016 showing of the event. Though, he will need Matsuyama to not shoot in the 60s. Corey Conners continues his impressive play, including a hole-in-one on the par-3 sixth.

The Masters PGA DFS Picks
It could be a Sunday for the ages for any of the chasers or for Matsuyama and the country of Japan. Seeking the first major title for the country, Matsuyama has performed best at this major. As a reminder, he will be assigned finishing points for his finishing position tomorrow for the final-round scoring. Matsuyama, given his price, is the obvious chalk for tomorrow’s slate.
- Xander Schauffele and Jordan Spieth: The two remaining studs with a chance to win the event have looked the best all week in terms of their ball striking; Spieth just hasn’t putt well, and Schauffele has improved each day. Those two will anchor the biggest lineup for Round 4. This may end up slightly against the grain as well while gamers focus on Rose and Zalatoris.
- Viktor Hovland ($8,800) – Projected 34.98 Points: After starting the week with a triple, Hovland has been up and down just about as much as anyone in the field. But he sits just outside the top 10 at 1 under and has been able to maintain a good birdie pace throughout. Given that he’s priced right around Zalatoris, Rose and Patrick Reed, he will probably not be all that highly owned.
- Bob MacIntyre ($6,800) – Projected 27.66 Points: It is said that Augusta is better suited for lefties, with plenty of past champions of the southpaw variety. This young one from Scotland has proven himself to be a worthy competitor as a first-time participant and sits inside the top 10 heading into Sunday. It is a good move to back guys with a lot of pressure on them, and MacIntyre has some of the most outside of Matsuyama.
Sneaky Pick for Round 4
- Matt Wallace ($6,400) – Projected 24.58 Points: The 26 positions between Wallace and Kevin Na are likely to bring double, maybe even triple the ownership. While Na is a good play, Wallace is a natural pivot off of him for the same price and just 2 back. A couple of early birdies would close that gap before even Na walks onto the putting green.
Filling Out Your Roster
- Webb Simpson ($8,700)
- Patrick Reed ($9,100)
- Mackenzie Hughes ($6,800)
- Martin Laird ($6,100)
