The Millionaire Maker for PGA DFS is still on the back burner, but that doesn’t mean life-changing amounts of prize money are lacking in DraftKings and FanDuel tournaments, and interesting fantasy golf picks are all over the board this week. In fact, this week, we have a contest that is offering $300,000 to first with $1.200,000 guaranteed. There will be 120 players teeing it up at the Genesis Invitational, so we’ll have plenty of options with which to go against the grain in DraftKings and FanDuel contests.

Genesis Invitational Fantasy Golf Picks
PGA DFS Picks: $9,000+
- 14 Golfers
- Total ownership of around 210%
This week sees the largest number of golfers priced at or above $9,000 this year, and it’s no surprise given the field’s strength. But there are still plenty of ownership pockets, with gamers favoring one stud over another, and none more so than Xander Schauffele. Also getting a ton of attention will be Dustin Johnson, who has six top-10s in the last seven years. Then comes local Patrick Cantlay, who also projects over 20%. Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy are next in pushing the 20% barrier this week. Tony Finau and Bryson DeChambeau will both see themselves closing in on 20% owned as well.
Then the drop-off happens as six golfers project at or less than 10%. They are:
- Justin Thomas
- Jordan Spieth
- Collin Morikawa
- Brooks Koepka
- Hideki Matsuyama
Top Against the Grain PGA DFS Picks for the Genesis Invitational
I can’t even tell you how many Thomas/Morikawa/Spieth lines I want to make this week, but it’s just a little harder than just doing Morikawa/Spieth/Cantlay. I think in single-entry contests like the $200, Thomas is a prime target for less than 10% ownership and a perfect contest-specific, against-the-grain play.

PGA DFS Picks: Nos. 12-33 Priced Golfers ($7,500-$8,900)

- Total ownership 182 %
One of the best values of the year is Viktor Hovland, whose game should translate quite well here. He is priced at a meager $8,700 and will carry ownership north of 20% because of that. There are about six golfers that are projected at or over 10%: Scottie Scheffler, Carlos Ortiz, Sergio Garcia, Corey Conners and Cameron Davis. Joaquin Niemann and Bubba Watson are likely to come in close to 10% owned, and I’m sure they will be higher than that in specific contests. Max Homa, Abraham Ancer, Cameron Tringale and Matthew Fitzpatrick are in the exact same boat, though a ways down the salary board.
The ownership starts to thin out after Fitzpatrick, though, with plenty of options to get golfers under 5% owned. A few that I ‘ll be interested in this week are:

- Cameron Smith
- Jason Kokrak
- Si Woo Kim
- Gary Woodland
PGA DFS Picks: The Rest ($7,400 and Below)
- 82+ golfers
- Total ownership 210 %
The cut-off for the salary range gives us the only golfer that’s projected higher than 10%: Sam Burns ($7,400). At times this year, he has looked much better than this type of price stage. Brendon Todd, Wyndham Clark, Maverick McNealy, Kevin Streelman, Brian Harman and Jim Furyk will all likely get somewhere between 5 and 10% owned this week. Doug Ghim may find a couple of bids down here as well.
