For the second straight week, there are just 125 players in the field for this week’s Memorial Tournament. And based on last week’s 6-for-6 percentages, it should be higher yet again. Ownership won’t be as concentrated as last week, but there are still plenty of higher-owned golfers, and of course, those low-owned, against-the-grain fantasy golf picks. Last week the article feature was eventual winner Jason Kokrak, and we will look to make it back-to-back weeks for the first time in quite a while. Let’s jump into some of the best PGA DFS picks for DraftKings and FanDuel GPPs.

DraftKings & FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for The Memorial Tournament
$9,000 and Above
- 14 Golfers
Fourteen golfers fit this category this week, as it seems the pricing points align well with how DraftKings prices the field. There is just shy of 200% ownership going to these 14 golfers, with a heavy emphasis on golfers in the mid- to high $9,000s. Viktor Hovland and Tony Finau seem to be trending towards the highest-owned golfers of the slate (outside of Kyle Stanley). Patrick Cantlay, after just one good start, seems to be a heavy target, with his ownership creeping back up towards the 20% mark. Hideki Matsuyama is trending around that number as well.
Then there is a slight drop-off to the likes of Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Corey Conners and Patrick Reed. All of them should be owned around 15%. That leaves five golfers, the four highest-priced on the slate and Scottie Scheffler, all of whom will be under 10% owned this week. The top four likely have a floor of 7% ownership, though, so it would not be a surprise to see one or two of them get over the 10%-owned number.
Top Against the Grain Fantasy Golf Picks
A case can be made for all four of the highest-priced golfers, but that’s an obvious statement given they are the best in the field. If forced to lean on one of them when building an aggressive lineup, the order would be Jon Rahm, Jordan Spieth, Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy.
Mid-Range ($8,900-$7,500)
- 22 golfers
There is one fewer golfer this week, but there is around the same amount of ownership spanning them, about 240% total. Matthew Fitzpatrick and Louis Oosthuizen, fresh off their good major performances, are the most popular in this range, along with Keegan Bradley. All of them should touch that 20% mark. But none of them are trending to be as highly owned as Kevin Streelman, who has been in a great spot of form lately.
There is a bit less interest in Shane Lowry and Charley Hoffman, both of whom are trending up heading into this week. Cameron Smith will still get plenty of attention, and those three will be around 15% owned this week, as will Billy Horschel, Gary Woodland, Emiliano Grillo and Christiaan Bezuidenhout. After them, there are plenty of options under 10% in the PGA DFS ownership projections, including:
- Sam Burns
- Sungjae Im
- Rickie Fowler
- Adam Scott
- Marc Leishman
Top Against the Grain Fantasy Golf Picks
From that list above, Rickie Fowler going back to his old putter and gaining some confidence with the top-10 at the PGA Championship is something to get behind for at least a week.

The Rest ($7,400 and Below)
- 85 golfers
With the invitational setting and only 120 players in the field, this section is a bit smaller. Just five of those 85 will be owned over 10% this week, and Stanley is getting the most buzz. A late add to the field and priced at $6,100, Stanley hasn’t missed a cut in his last five attempts. He also has two top-10s here in the last four tries. Everything is spelled out for a huge ownership number this week.
Also getting plenty of attention will be Brendon Todd, Russell Henley, Matt Jones, Patton Kizzire, Lucas Glover, Doug Ghim, Carlos Ortiz, Matt Wallace and Russell Knox. Then there’s a massive drop-off to the 5%-owned range. A few names coming close to that mark include:
- Aaron Wise
- Sebastian Munoz
- Harold Varner III
- Talor Gooch
Of those, Talor Gooch has the highest-projected point total of the four at 55.6 points. Check out the full PGA DFS points projections.
