- 12 golfers
There are 12 golfers again, as every one ranked in the top 10 in the world is priced over $10,000. Starting right at the top, Jon Rahm is on the verge of a victory, and he will win the week he makes more than five putts. It could be this week, and around 20% of the gamers believe it to be. However, he likely will not be the highest owned on the slate, as Cameron Smith and Hideki Matsuyama are trending towards the 20%-owned mark. Xander Schauffele, who also looked great in the ball-striking department last week, is trending a bit higher than some of his price peers and likely will be one of the highest-owned golfers in the $200 single-entry contest.
Outside of these four golfers, the next batch will have about a 5% dip in total ownership, with Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Cantlay, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland all trending towards the 10-15% range.

That leaves just two golfers priced above $9,000 that will have a chance at going under 10% owned: Collin Morikawa and Brooks Koepka. While neither of their histories here at Riviera is anything to write home about, Morikawa lost almost seven strokes with the putter last year and still found a way to make the cut and play OK over the weekend. He makes an intriguing option as a first golfer in, having not played in a few weeks.
PGA DFS Mid-Range ($8,900-$7,500)
- 20 golfers
With such a strong field, similar to last week, it is no surprise that the salary distribution is virtually the same. Twenty golfers again find themselves in between this price range, with plenty of ownership going to them as well. At the top end, a few golfers are pushing the 20% owned marked, including:
- Matt Fitzpatrick
- Sungjae Im
- Russell Henley
- Will Zalatoris
About 80-90% total ownership is what those four will accumulate, with plenty of other golfers in this range being owned over 10%. Those that are projected with at least 10% ownership but less than 15% include:
- Marc Leishman
- Jason Kokrak
- Talor Gooch
- Joaquin Niemann
- Sam Burns
Top Contrarian Fantasy Golf Picks
While about half of the golfers from this range are likely to be owned over 10%, it leaves plenty of options of golfers that are not going to be owned as much. Jordan Spieth checks in this week at a course where he has made the cut seven times in nine trips, and he has a bunch of finishes around 20th. He will likely only be owned around 7% this week. Both Bubba Watson and Max Homa have won the event before (Watson multiple times) and likely will not have a combined ownership of more than 15%. Lastly, Alex Noren is coming off an excellent finish last week and sets up well again, but gamers are not willing to pay the price, as he projects for just 6% ownership.

Last week just one golfer got over 10% owned from this price section: Aaron Wise. After his second straight missed cut, though, his trendline is not particularly great, and he will not get the same love this week. Others that will be getting the love this week include
- Si Woo Kim
- Cameron Tringale
- Luke List
- Maverick McNealy
Also, unlike last week, where not many golfers were even projected between the 5% and 10% marks, this week there are a bundle of names that will garner interest:
- Thomas Pieters
- Patrick Reed
- Corey Conners
- Lanto Griffin
- Christiaan Bezuidenhout
- Doug Ghim
- Aaron Rai
Among those golfers — and every golfer in the field — Aaron Rai is the best value according to Awesemo’s PGA DFS Projections, with a projected score of 56.1 points.
