Opening Remarks
Joaquin Niemann gets it done! The Chilean was able to capture his first PGA Tour victory, on a course he clearly feels comfortable at. This now sets him up for loads of tournaments including the Tournament of Champions, but, not yet The Masters. He’ll still have to work a little bit for that. He wasn’t the only one making good moves, as plenty of Korn Ferry grads made some big moves in the first tournament out of the KFT Finals. Didn’t catch who they were last week? No worries I made a 1-50 list for all the players!

This Week’s Course(s): Country Club of JacksonÂ
Course & Tournament Commentary
A week after Joaquin toasted the field, the tour heads to Mississippi for the Sanderson Farms Championship, but likely won’t be the only place to play DFS Golf this week, the Euro Tour has a big event in England. This event last year actually mirrored one of the WGC events, so I’m not entirely sure DK even ran contests. While at the time of writing this, about 8:00 Pm on Sunday evening, they haven’t posted any contests, but I fully suspect them to. This is the first year the tournament has been given its own week, not playing opposite a big tournament. It’s actually been around quite a while, becoming an official PGA Tour event in the early 90s. Cam Champ a winner here last year shows us that distance can prevail here. Its tiny greens are very reminiscent of Donald Ross courses, but as those go, put yourself into position, and you can attack.

Fantasy Golf Player & Statistical Preview
This space discusses the expected field and this week’s top-25 golfers based on the official world golf ranking for your fantasy golf, PGA DFS lineups.
DFS Golf Commentary
Not as many high-quality tour pros wanted to make the trip to the country club of Jackson this week, as Chez Reavie highlights the field. Sixteen others join him inside the worlds top 100 that are here to complete this week, as the middle of the field does present us with good options like Emiliano Grillo & Kyle Stanley. Newcomers like Scottie Scheffler & Robby Shelton will also be in focus due to the weak field.
Statistical Preview
Approach statistics are always vital to look at after a quick analysis; it seems the highest number of average shots came from the beyond 200-yard range, which with four par 5’s, that makes sense. So, let’s see who was good from that range last week, and last year. I’ve also included the SG: APP From last year.
Sanderson Farms CommentaryÂ
Maverick McNealy couldn’t parlay his strong 200+ yard game last week into a made cut, but maybe this week where it seems like it will be more prevalent will be a good spot for ar rebound. Corey Conners was the best from outside the 200-yard range, while plenty of other golfers in the field also hitting it close including Chez Reavie & Ryan Armour, who won the event in 2018. It’s likely at least one of these guys will help your PGA DFS lineups this week.
For now, until we get some DFS Golf contests posted, that’s all!
Cheers!
