Tournament Intro: The Scandinavian Masters
The country of Sweden’s crown jewel tournament, which obviously brings the Swedes to it, including Alex Noren & Henrik Stenson. The tournament has been around since the early ’90s and has been won by a Sweedish player six times, including twice from the aforementioned Noren. This tournament is the second in line of a run of great tournaments, that should be filled with at least two or three high-level stars. It provides a nice buffer during the off weeks of the PGA, and supplemental games since sometimes the fields are much better than the ones in the fall circuit for the PGA.
For the second straight year, the tournament will be held at the Hills Golf Club, that plays rather forgiving, with a winning score of -14 last year. It would be considered short on the PGA Tour, measuring just 6900 yards, but

Fantasy Golf Player & Statistical Preview
Matthew Fitzpatrick joins Sweeden’s own Stenson & Noren to give the field a pretty strong top 3. Still plenty of recognizable names in the top 10 including Erik Van Rooyen & Joost Luiten.
Statistical Preview
Lucky for us the Euro Tour has strokes gained data, but just for the year, not weekly, at least what I can find. So here is the top 25 ranked by the field for Sg: T2G this year:
BMW Championships Commentary
Julian Suri has spent most of the season on the IR but seems to be back in form, even with that missed cut last week. Paul Wairing, the defending champion of the event has also had a nice year tee to green ranking 11th in the field. Bob Macintyre & Sean Crocker check in the top 25 and provide fantastic upside in GPP formats.
For now, that’s all. I’ll be updating the article the more info we get.
Until then,
Cheers!
