PGA DFS is filled with tons of useful information, but at times it can be overwhelming. The Awesemo daily fantasy golf team created a format to provide one condensed article that will analyze the four most important statistics for daily fantasy golf. This statistical overview will focus on recent form, course history, strokes gained and old-school statistics. I will provide notes and a data sheet to help with your PGA DFS picks for DraftKings and FanDuel contests in each category. This week the focus is on The Zurich Classic.
In the spirit of the team event, I’ll be discussing each metric by a combined team result.

PGA DFS Picks: The Zurich Classic
Recent Form
Four teams this week check in with four total top-10s among them: Ryan Palmer/Jon Rahm, Bubba Watson/Scottie Scheffler, Talor Gooch/Max Homa and Marc Leishman/Cameron Smith. Each of the teams has at least six top-25s as well. Brendon Todd/Chris Kirk and Branden Grace/Harold Varner III have seven top-25s in the last 11 weeks. A few other teams have six, including Tyrrell Hatton/Danny Willett and Chase Seiffert/Matthew NeSmith.

Course History at TPC Louisiana
The course history at TPC Louisiana should be a good indication of what type of winners this tournament has had, with a lot of names not seen often. In fact, there are even two groups that have five total top-10s in the last five years: Charley Hoffman/Nick Watney and David Hearn/Seamus Power. The Kevin Kisner/Scott Brown duo has worked out quite well in their first two tries as teammates, finishing in the top 10 both times.

Strokes Gained
This is where things get a bit dicey in terms of how to present the data. The simplest way is to add the two numbers where each play ranks together. Other things that can be done are actually adding together the actual strokes gained from specific categories over a certain time period. That, in essence, is what the yearly ranks are doing, but these numbers date back to the beginning of the season and may not depict the exact current form.
