PGA DFS & Golf Betting Picks: Charles Schwab Challenge 2022
The only one of my favorites that did not play all four days last week, Patrick Cantlay, is the only one of my favorite trio not here to compete this week. Jordan Spieth has not finished worse than 32nd in nine starts at this event, and Collin Morikawa is projected to be one of the lowest-owned golfers above $10,000 this week, so each of them will get a healthy allocation in my lineups this week.
PGA Weather Forecast
Typically, the biggest defense that the courses in Dallas have is the wind. But, it is not suspected to get above 20 mph, except for those golfers teeing off in the afternoon on Thursday. Be sure to check out the PGA Weather Splits tool to see just how much advantage golfers that are not teeing off during that time have.

Charles Schwab Challenge 2022 Fantasy Golf Picks & Projections
These golfers will have anywhere between 20% and 50% allocation.
Viktor Hovland
$10,100 DraftKings/$11,200 FanDuel | 22-1 (PointsBet)
Hovland has underperformed to start this season, as he has not had a top-10 finish since The Players Championship back in March. It has been his around-the-green game, as it just cannot get better at this point. He is ranked outside the top 200 in the strokes gained around the green and it has cost him a lot. But, at a course where the top 10 in the event last year actually averaged negative strokes gained, he should be able to take advantage of his stronger attributes and post his quality finish in a few months.
Abraham AncerÂ
$9,300 DraftKings/$10,000 FanDuel | 40-1 (DraftKings)
Over the last few years, Ancer has established himself as one of the best international players in the world. A big part of the President’s Cup team a few years ago and this summer, Ancer has really been struggling this year. His irons, which are typically one of his best skills, have not been great this year, and his around the green work has been absolutely abysmal. He had no top 10s entering last week, but after finally finding form, he finished in ninth. That should give him plenty of confidence heading into this week in a place where he has found success in the last two years, finishing 14th in each of them.
Tommy Fleetwood $8,800 DraftKings/$9,800 FanDuel | 40-1 (DraftKings)
It is time. He has been trending for what seems like five years now and still has yet to win the PGA Tour. But, with his game trending in the right direction, he is playing some of his best golf in recent history. Coming off his top-5 finish last week at the PGA Championship where he gained strokes in all four categories, Fleetwood enters the week as high as he has been in the last few years. The price is also right and the ownership is not skyrocketing, so it is all systems go for the Englishman this week.

Joel Dahmen Â
$7,200 DraftKings/$8,600 FanDuel | 150-1 (DraftKings)
With one of his best seasons of ball striking on record, Dahmen has not really been able to cash in on it, only coming in the top 10 once back in February at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. This year, the thing holding him back has been his around-the-green game, where he is ranked outside the top 190. If the strategy this week of around the green not mattering all that much pans out, then Dahmen should be able to get close to his first top 10 in the last three months, and his price is right to try to jump on that.
Sahith Theegala
$6,700 DraftKings/$8,800 FanDuel | 200-1 (DraftKings)
Theegala has found the weekend at six straight events and provided a return for those that roster him. Now a week off after not qualifying for the PGA Championship, Theegala gets back in action with his lowest price on DraftKings over the last couple of months. Given his consistency recently and the upside he has shown numerous times this year, he makes for a great salary-saving option this week in Dallas.
Beau HosslerÂ
$6,500 DraftKings/$8,500 FanDuel | 250-1 (Outright/Each-Ways)
The last spot on the card this week is going to be split between Hossler and Brandon Wu. Hossler has been inconsistent recently, only playing well at the two Texas events, where he came in a tie for fourth at the Valero Texas and a tie for 17th at the Byron Nelson a few weeks ago. His price is very reasonable given his recent results in the state and provides a nice salary saving. Wu is turning into a true boom-or-bust play. Given his salary this week as well, the risk/reward sets up nicely.
