PGA DFS Picks Today: Final Round Masters DraftKings Fantasy Golf Picks & Predictions

Saturday, moving day at Augusta, where golfers tried to chase down the number 1 golfer in the world. It was a grueling test of golf for the third day in a row, and now, only eight golfers are under par for the event. The scoring average for the day was one of the highest on any Saturday at the event, coming in north of 74.5. A few late bogeys from Scottie Scheffler was nullified by a dart on the 17 hole, which pushed his lead back to four. But, an errant drive on the 18th cost him that shot back, as Scheffler would make bogey after taking a drop from his drive, setting up a showdown tomorrow. Speaking of showdown, the showdown slate for Sunday at the Masters is the biggest ever, as DraftKings offers $200,000 to first place for the final round slate.

Round 3 Recap

Golfers starting the day that just made the cut were just seven shots out of second place to start the day, and with many at the top of the leaderboard faltering, all one had to do was shot under par. The biggest mover on the day was Tommy Fleetwood, who started the day in a tie for 39th, and shot two under 70, and moved up a full 30 places, and now sits in a tie for 9th. Cameron Champ shot one under and is now in a tie for the 14th. Huge moves for golfers that were fighting to make the cut yesterday. Sungjae Im would have an absolutely disastrous start to his round, air mailing the first green and ending up with a double. He’d play his first six holes at four-over, but, after a birdie on 8, and a closing 32 on the back nine, he got himself right back into the tournament with a one-under 71, a great showing of resilience.

Best PGA DFS Picks Today for The Masters DraftKings Showdown

It shall be a Sunda to remember at Augusta tomorrow, as temperatures are supposed to be in the mid-’70s with very little wind. A perfect day to end a very difficult scoring tournament and should give golfers a chance to move up the leaderboard with a solid final round.

Cam Smith ($10,500)

The nuclear iron game and strong short game is working again here for Smith this week, as he’s gained close to 10 shots on his approaches in just three rounds. He does this when he’s on, though, using his stellar approach game and amazing short game to give himself a chance to win. He’s probably the highest owned golfer in the slate tomorrow, but if it’s him or Scheffler for the lineup, Smith is my first pick.

Si Woo Kim ($7,000)

Starting his day three under thru three after eagling the second hole, Kim looked poised to make a run. But, the conditions would get the best of him as the day rolled on, and he’d have to settle for a one-over 73. But his putter looks superb this week, and typically that doesn’t stop once it starts. Also, when he matches his strong iron game up with that, he typically is in line for a big finish. He’s got those two attributes, and with a good weather pattern predicted, he should be able to find more fairways in the final round and give his strong attributes a chance to take over.

Cam Champ ($6,500)

While I wouldn’t say I like picking the same guy twice in a week to recommend, especially after the first time I picked him, he played poorly, but Champ looked so good with the driver today that he’s very hard to fade for tomorrow’s final round. He could have easily been two or three shots lower today and still turned in one of the top 10 best rounds of the day. With good weather tomorrow, which should help his iron control, and his continued dominance with the driver, Champ should find himself inside the top 12 of the event, earning him another invite back next year.

Harry Higgs ($6,600)

While he’s only competed in two majors, Higgs seems to relish the chance to play against the world’s best. In his first major at Kiawah Island last year, Higgs sunk a forty-footer for birdie on 18, which would inevitably get him an invite here this week. He’s parlaying that into a very solid showing and has a chance to earn another invitation back for next year’s event with a solid final round. He’s in the top 5 strokes gained on the approach for the week and hasn’t found that hot putter yet, and with his price being almost the bare minimum, he should provide flexibility for the more aggressive lineups.

Other GPP Targets for the final round showdown slate:

  • Sergio Garcia ($7,400)
  • Kevin Kisner ($6,900)
  • Patrick Reed ($6,700)
  • Min Woo Lee ($6,200)
  • Marc Leishman ($7,200)
  • Hudson Swafford ($6,000)
