First Timers (3)
This year, with so few tournaments, played last year and so few first-time winners, there are only three golfers making their first start at The Masters.

- Quick Notes: A breakthrough win at the Houston Open for Ortiz oddly enough qualified him for this event rather than the tournament the week after his win. Since then he has added two top-10s but also a couple of missed cuts. He has been here before with his brother, who competed as the Latin America Amateur Champion.

- Bet for the Week: -150 Top Scottish Player
- Quick Notes: The talented lefty from Scotland plays his golf on the European Tour, or most of it, but now that he’s in the top 50 in the world, he may come over in the states a bit more. It’s said that lefties have an advantage at Augusta, with a handful of former lefty winners, and this guy knows how to score, so he could set up for a nice long shot this week.

Will Zalatoris

- OWGR: 43
- Driving Distance: 4
- Driving Accuracy: N/A
- Bet for the Week: Top Debutant +110
- Quick Notes: The ascent up the world golf ranking is astonishing for this young guy out of Wake Forest. Coming out of college, he had all the accolades but couldn’t put it together in his first run and had to go to the Korn Ferry Tour. He’s been able to play incredible golf there and earned himself enough starts on the PGA Tour to get inside the top 50 in the world. That’s how he was able to qualify for the event. He doesn’t even have full-time PGA Tour status at this point last year.
