[DUSTIN]

  1. Patrick Cantlay

    • How They Qualified: Winner of the 2020 ZoZo Championship
    • Recent Form:

      • MC
      • 15
    • Masters Form:
      • 2020:17
      • 2019: 9
      • 2018: MC
      • 2012: Low Am
    • Statistical Profile:
      • Strokes Gained Tee to Green: 9
      • OWGR: 10
      • Driving Distance: 9
      • Driving Accuracy: 28
      • Off the Tee: 21
      • On the Approach: 49
      • Around the Green: 6
      • Putting: 50
    • Bet of the Week: Round of the tournament +2200
    • Quick Notes: Patrick had to withdraw from the WGC-Workday due to a stomach illness that knocked him out for that week and the next few. He clearly wasn’t all the way recovered from the illness at The Players, missing the cut, something he does very seldom nowadays. His form at Augusta hasn’t been all that good, and maybe that should warrant someone like Xander Schauffele to be in the favorites category rather than him, but prior to the missed cut at The Players, Cantlay was a great stretch of golf, showing why he’s one of the best in the game.
  2. Bryson DeChambeau

    • How They Qualified: Winner of the 2020 US Open
    • Recent Form:
      • 42
      • 3
      • 1
    • Masters Form:
      • 2020:43
      • 2019: 29
      • 2018: 38
      • 2016: 21
    • Statistical Profile:
      • Strokes Gained Tee to Green: 1
      • OWGR: 5
      • Driving Distance: 1
      • Driving Accuracy: 115
      • Off the Tee: 1
      • On the Approach: 14
      • Around the Green: 44
      • Putting: 38
    • Bet of the Week: To win the event 11.5/1
    • Quick Notes: DeChambeau kind of made himself out to be the villain in November, calling Augusta National a “par 67” for him. That didn’t bode well for him, coming in 34th, still trying to figure out how his new game can translate here to Augusta. But the difference between then and now is that his putting and approach game has gotten worlds better, making him incredibly dangerous this week if he’s able to use his driver as a weapon and pick the correct lines off the tee.
  3. Jon Rahm

    • How They Qualified: Winner of The 2020 Memorial Tournament
    • Recent Form:
      • 5
      • 9
      • 32
    • Masters Form:
      • 2020:7
      • 2019: 9
      • 2018: 4
      • 2017: 27
    • Statistical Profile:
      • Strokes Gained Tee to Green: 2
      • OWGR: 3
      • Driving Distance: 2
      • Driving Accuracy: 69
      • Off the Tee: 3
      • On the Approach: 12
      • Around the Green: 56
      • Putting: 122
    • Bet of the Week: Top 20 -186
    • Quick Notes: The stars have certainly aligned for Rahm, as he’s playing well, and his wife has already given birth to their new baby. He was afraid he’d have to withdraw from this event at any time to go be with his wife, but everything worked out, and he should be here on the grounds no later than today, I’d assume. The same happened for Danny Willett back in 2016 when he stole the tournament from Spieth, and we know history likes to repeat itself.
  4. Justin Thomas

    • How They Qualified: Winner of the 2021 Players Championship
    • Recent Form:
      • 28
      • 17
      • 11
    • Masters Form:
      • 2020:4
      • 2019: 12
      • 2018: 17
      • 2017: 22
    • Statistical Profile:
      • Strokes Gained Tee to Green: 5
      • OWGR: 2
      • Driving Distance: 5
      • Driving Accuracy: 133
      • Off the Tee: 101
      • On the Approach: 3
      • Around the Green: 16
      • Putting: 54
    • Bet of the Week: To Win the Event 11.5/1
    • Quick Notes: In each of his starts here at Augusta Thomas has bettered his finishing position by at least five spots over the previous year’s finish. To keep that trend alive, Thomas will have to win. We saw him win a big-time event just a few weeks back at The Players, so now the only question is, was that the pinnacle of this short-term burst for Thomas, or will does the form continue and put up another big win on his resume. He might be fighting with his “best pal” to do so come Sunday Afternoon.
  5. Rory McIlroy

    • How They Qualified: Ranked Inside the top 50 in the OWGR Jan. 1, 2021
    • Recent Form:
      • 28
      • MC
      • 10
    • Masters Form:
      • 2020:5
      • 2019: 21
      • 2018: 5
      • 2017: 7
    • Statistical Profile:
      • Strokes Gained Tee to Green: 18
      • OWGR: 11
      • Driving Distance: 18
      • Driving Accuracy: 201
      • Off the Tee: 3
      • On the Approach: 81
      • Around the Green: 80
      • Putting: 105
    • Bet of the Week: First-round leader 25/1
    • Quick Notes: One of the top 5 longest players in the game decided he needed to get longer. Why? Well the answer is simple. Bryson DeChambeau. McIlroy spoke at length about it, and how it affected his game. Now though, a new swing coach whose been in place for at least a month will try and get McIlroy back to the top of his game, and win the career grand slam.
  6. Dustin Johnson

    • How They Qualified: 2020 Masters Champion
    • Recent Form:
      • 28
      • 48
      • 54
    • Masters Form:
      • 2020:1
      • 2019: 2
      • 2018: 10
      • 2016: 4
    • Statistical Profile:
      • Strokes Gained Tee To Green: 6
      • OWGR: 1
      • Driving Distance: 6
      • Driving Accuracy: 120
      • Off the Tee: 61
      • On the Approach: 9
      • Around the Green: 11
      • Putting: 148
    • Bet of the Week: Top 10 after round 1 +250
    • Quick Notes: Five straight top 10s here at Augusta gives Johnson arguably the best, or second best, course form of anyone in the field. Prior to the run though, he struggled in his first four trips to Augusta, so something must have turned five years ago. Regardless, Johnson isn’t in his top form like he was in November, so it won’t be a breeze to victory by any stretch.
  7. Jordan Spieth

    • How They Qualified: 2016 Masters Champion
    • Recent Form:
      • 1
      • 9
      • 48
    • Masters Form:
      • 2020:46
      • 2019: 21
      • 2018: 3
      • 2017: 11
    • Statistical Profile:
      • Strokes Gained Tee To Green: 59
      • OWGR: 38
      • Driving Distance: 59
      • Driving Accuracy: 230
      • Off the Tee: 162
      • On the Approach: 43
      • Around the Green: 28
      • Putting: 64
    • Bet of the Week: To win the Event 11.5/1
    • Quick Notes: Spieth is the hottest golfer on the planet, all the way back from the depths. He also holds the best entire dataset of course history here, coming in the top three four of seven times here, and making the cut in all seven. It’s no secret this is Spieth’s favorite course in the world, and his game is absolutely tailor-made for it. Let’s see if he can get rid of the horrors of the 12th hole and earn his second green jacket that he rightfully deserves.
