Another splendid day out on the Riveria Maya, as the Mexico Open has been a big hit in its first showing. The course, and the setup, have proven to be fun and excited for both the fans and the players. Big hitters Jon Rahm and Cameron Champ will put on a show in the final round tomorrow, as showdown contests for the final round are the biggest of the week. This article will briefly recap the previous three rounds and provide a few PGA DFS Picks for the final round.

Round 3 Recap
With ideal conditions yet again, golfers would have the chance to go low. No one would do that better than Nate Lashley, who was one of the first tee times out using the split tee threesomes on Saturday for tee times, and Lashley took advantage of the early start. He’s now played his last 42 holes of the tournament bogey-free and has risen all the way up the fourth place in the process. His 64 on the day matched only by Stephan Jaeger, who finally found some form out here as the Korn Ferry Tour regular-season money list leader from last year; he’s struggled this year but gives himself a chance to come in the top 10 for the first time all year.
Bill Haas would also continue his fine form in this time frame, as he shot a six-under 65 on the day, moving all the way up from a tie for 60th to a tie for 17th, and he also has a chance to earn his best finish of the year. Kurt Kitayama will play in the final threesome tomorrow with Rahm and Champ as he looks to best the third-place finish that he had at the Honda Classic a few months ago.
A few others to note, Tony Finau finally gained strokes putting and, as such, flew up the leaderboard with a five-under 66. Brandon Wu, the big sleeper pick from this article yesterday, also fired a bogey-free 66 on the day. Others shooting that same score included Patrick Rodgers, Grayson Murray and Aaron Wise.

With position on the leaderboard dictating ownership for the final round slate, we’ll aim to find some golfers at -7 or below that will be low owned, that could turn in a low round with low ownership.
Sahith Theegala ($8,800)
From his first iron shot of the day, which sailed just over the flag and took a huge leap forward, it looked like Sahith was ready to make a move. But, a bunch of unfortunate breaks like the one above, and a poor putting performance, it kept him from making a big move up the leaderboard. That’ll help keep ownership low for the final round slate as Theegala looks to make some hay on Sunday with a low one.
David Lipsky ($7,600)
Very similar to Theegla, Lipsky couldn’t get it going in round two with the putter, until the last hole, where he made an eagle. But, gaining over two strokes ball-striking, it seems that if he can find a putting stroke for the final round, Lipsky could really make a move up the leaderboard. His form has been good for the last month or so, as he looks to add his third top ten finish over that time span with a good round tomorrow.
Trey Mullinax ($7,500)
One of the more surprising names of the week, Mullinax, was right there thru a few rounds. But, with the worst putting round of his season, Mullinax backed up a few strokes while also being rather highly owned. So, hopefully, that’ll lead to lower ownership for the final round slate while the ball-striking still remains hot, gaining over 2.3 strokes on the day and averaging that for the week as well.
Low Owned GPP Targets for the final Round Slate:
- Graeme McDowell ($7,000)
- Greyson Sigg ($7,000)
- Brain Stuard ($7,000)
