A fantastic golf tournament has unfolded at the U.S. Open and it has made for some great DFS golf this week, as the leaders could not advance the low score they had going into the weekend. That allowed golfers like Jordan Spieth & Paul Casey to zoom up the leaderboard. After starting the day in a tie for 58th, they both ended in the top 25, after two of the best rounds of the day. Both a big feature of this article yesterday. Hopefully, it helped you earn some Round 3 cheddar and some good ammo for the big DraftKings PGA DFS Contests for Round 4.

PGA DFS Showdown Picks: U.S. Open Round 4
Previous Round Recap
Well, all that we thought it would be, it was, with golfers just making the cut making big moves up the board. Also, some huge names, the biggest in the game, also put up some quality rounds, including the best round of the day shot by Rory McIlroy. He shot – 4 while Bryson DeChambeau & Dustin Johnson tied spieth & Ian Poulter at 68. All of them, though, are chasing Mackenzie Hughes, Russell Henley & Louis Oosthuizen. The first of three, Hughes, also shot three-under on the day and joins Henley as surprise name at the top of the leaderboard.
Other quality rounds turned in on the day and positioned themselves for at least a top 10, or maybe 5, including Francesco Molinari & Sungjae Im. Lanto Griffin, Martin Kaymer & Chris Baker all shot two-under on the day and position themselves for one of their best finish in some time or maybe even their career in Chris Baker’s case.

DraftKings
- DraftKings is offering $100,000 to first place and $400,000 guaranteed for the final-round slate.
Now, with some of the players that were playing well, but had a bad round two, have moved up the leaderboard, the pickings down the board are rather thin. Plus, being so far down, the leaderboard, there is not as good of an opportunity to earn positional points, which are awarded to golfers in round 4.
PGA DFS Picks for Round 4 of The U.S. Open
- Dustin Johnson ($9,200) It’s really a pick ’em tomorrow, as just about everyone in the world’s top 10 are in the top 10 heading into the final round, with the exception of a few Patricks. Now it’ll be about finding the lowest owned ones that end up with the best round, obviously. Jon Rahm’s price may end up putting him as that guy, or even Brooks Koepka, but Johnson hahas been flying way under the radar all week, and I think he stays in that state for tomorrow’s round.
- Bryson DeChambeau ($9,300) For the purpose of not writing up Spieth for the second day in a row, I’ll sub in Bryson. He, who found something in his lucid dreams on Friday night, has put together back-to-back good performances and has himself just two behind the lead looking for his second straight U.S. Open title. His ball-striking has looked good all week, as his putting, but when he misses the green, his around the green work is awful. He’s lost almost four strokes in three rounds there and is the reason he’s not in first.
- Lanto Griffin ($6,800) After an abysmal round one, Griffin has bounced back in a flurry, gaining over six strokes with his approaches of the last two rounds. Now, all we can hope for is that gives him the confidence to go out and do it again and that we didn’t miss the boat.
Sneaky Pick for Round 4 Showdown
- Martin Kaymer ($6,300) This former U.S. Open Champion was able to ride an eagle in round two thru the weekend and didn’t let down with his approach and putter today, gaining a combined five strokes on the day. That’s kind of his MO, though, so I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see him do it again on Sunday.
