The rain and wind disappeared for Round 2 of the Bermuda Championship as a beautiful fall Island day provided a lovely setting. Scores were much better because of that, as the cutline would inch closer to even par all day and even looked like it could to -1 at a point. It would settle at even par with 76 golfers making the weekend.

Round 2 Recap
Morning Wave
It would be clear from the get-go that the course would yield plenty of birdies and ultimately much better scores than Round 1. Patrick Rodgers would jump to the lead early on, as Chad Ramey and Brandon Hagy overnight leaders would stumble out of the block. Neither would break par on the day, whereas Rodgers shot 64, one of the best rounds of the day. Matthias Schwab would have one of the best rounds of the day; after an opening-round 71, he would bounce back with a 63. Plenty of other solid rounds turned in in the morning, including Peter Uihlein, Lucas Herbert and Pater Malnati, all shooting 65, and jumping up the leaderboard in Round 2.
Afternoon Wave
With winds all but non-existent, a stark contrast to what these golfers faced on Thursday morning, and an ability to make up ground with a good round. That is exactly what Taylor Pendrith did, shooting a tournament-best 61 on the day, including a 30 on the front nine and five straight birdies from 1-5. Mark Hubbard would match Schwab’s performance on the day with a 63, firing back after an opening-round 74. J.J. Spaun also gets a mention, as he played relatively well on Thursday, overshadowed by a late double bogey, but showed his form in Round 2, bouncing back with a 66.

PGA DFS DraftKings Showdown Picks
The adverse conditions have come and gone as its golfer against the golf course the rest of the way in.
- Matthew Fitzpatrick ($10,400): Iron play is not typically Fitzpatrick’s best attribute, but, through two rounds and difficult conditions, he has been able to hit 75% of his greens. On day three, he should be able to figure out sight lines off the tee and improve his driving accuracy, which should help his in-form irons. His putter picked up today as well and has not had that breakout round yet. Saturday will be the day to get him back in the mix come Sunday.
- Guido Migliozzi ($8,600): Ball-striking has not ever been Migliozzi problem; it is the putter that tends to be the issue. This week that does not seem to be a problem and his off the tee game is best in the field, finding 82% of his fairways a 6% ahead of the next batch of golfers. He has translated that into almost 70% of his greens, after struggling in the wind in Round 1, he bounced back in a big way in Round 2. Given his ball-striking form and decent putter, he has a high floor for Round 3 and given his salary, will be a core piece for the slate.
- Vincent Whaley ($7,900): Form is certainly there for Whaley, who came into the week as one of only a handful of golfers who come in the top 10 three times over the past 12 weeks. He continues that high form into the weekend, giving us his best Jordan Spieth impression, hitting 35% of his fairways. That makes him second to last, only behind leader Patrick Rodgers of golfers, who made the cut in terms of finding the fairway off the tee. Most of his work has been done with the putter, which is fine, as it fits his profile. Can he keep it up for two more rounds is the question.
- Dylan Wu ($6,900): Wu is second-to=last among golfers who made the cut in others of putts per green in regulation, averaging almost two putts per hole. Putting is the one thing that is proven to be most variable, so if that flips, and the ball striking stays, where he has hit at least 66% of his greens and fairways through two rounds.
