The top-end form and picks were great, but getting only a quarter of low-priced plays crushed the returns. Still, a slightly profitable week is better than a losing one.
Weather
The only defense this course has is wind, as it can dry up the course quickly, making it firmer and faster. There is a bit of a cold front coming Friday afternoon that could produce higher winds with it, around 20 mph, which is enough to bring down scoring a little bit. If that happens, there is no chance this cut will be 7 under like last year.

Top PGA DFS Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel
These golfers will have anywhere between 20% and 50% allocation this week.
This week presents a big change from last week, with 15 or more studs worth rostering. Therefore, the strategy will be to go overweight on the guys in the $8,000 range while filling the lineup with a mix of most of those 15. Allocations that range from 15% to 25% for golfers priced at $9,500 and above are (in order):

- Will Zalatoris
- Webb Simpson
- Scottie Scheffler
- Sam Burns
- Abraham Ancer
- Brooks Koepka
- Hideki Matsuyama
- Louis Oosthuizen
Corey Conners ($8,800 DraftKings/$8,200 FanDuel)
Consistency is the target this week, and Conners has that right now. While the $10,000-plus salary last week was not the best value, if he performs the exact same as last week with this salary, he will be in the winning GPP lineup.
Jason Kokrak ($8,700 DraftKings/$10,900 FanDuel)
After a bit of a cold stretch in the summer, Kokrak finished the season with back-to-back top-15s against some of the best in the world. He got his run started last year in Vegas, so the turn should not be an issue. Because he has not played since the Tour Championship, he is priced down a bit and his ownership is low, projected at just 9.1% owned.
Adam Scott ($6,700 DraftKings/$9,900 FanDuel)
The one crutch of Scott’s game throughout his career has been his putting. But last year he had one of his best putting years statistically but failed to find the winner’s circle. That is primarily due to his problems off the tee, ranking outside of the top 100 for the first time in a while. Issues off the tee can be nullified by a course that has some of the easiest fairways to hit on tour. If that is the case, and his irons and new putting strength can shine, Scott should be able to claw his way into the top 10 come Sunday.
Matthew Wolff ($8,200 DraftKings/$9,800 FanDuel)
Speaking of off-tee problems, Wolff was the captain of them last year. But things seem to be looking up, as Wolff gained over two strokes off the tee last week, with an average drive of over 335 yards. Now, the fairways still seem to be hard to find, as he hit less than 40% last week, but it appears that he is controlling his misses much better, landing it just in the rough instead of landing it in some other part of the multiverse.
Aaron Wise ($7,900 DraftKings/$9,600 FanDuel)
The raw scoring upside is there, now Wise has to avoid that one throwaway round to compete for the win, and he needs to grind better on Sundays. Once that is fixed, he will be in the top 10 quickly and will be a must-own for DFS.
Sahith Theegala ($7,400 DraftKings/$8,400 FanDuel)
One top-10 and a slightly more expensive salary should not move gamers away from playing Theegala again. He is just getting started, and that top=10 last week should give him all the confidence he needs to continue his run of impressive golf.
Rickie Fowler ($7,200 DraftKings/$8,200 FanDuel)
While on the hole, not making the playoffs is an absolute atrocity for a golfer that has Fowler’s talent level. But he has plenty of exemptions to use and time to get his game back, and most seem to think he does not have it. It is a good idea to be early on him, and there is not a premium to his price either. As such, Fowler is an easy gamble this week.
Luke List ($7,200 DraftKings/$8,200 FanDuel)
The talent is there, but can List find consistency? He is worth a fair share of ownership this week to find out. He will not gain strokes putting, but if he gains eight strokes tee to green, he will pay off this salary by Saturday afternoon.

The low-priced golfers in the last two showings have caused issues, so the risks will be much more minimal this week. There are plenty of lineup fill-ins priced at $7,000 or below in the next few sections.
