This tool, at least in my eyes, will be most useful in the middle of the season, helping us identify undervalued golfers for PGA DFS lineups. But for now, we only have roughly nine events over the last 11 weeks. The most for a PGA Tour Player is Rhein Gibson with seven starts in that time frame. Still, recent form analysis will include the Hawaii swing, the back half of the fall circuit and the last couple of weeks on the European Tour, so not an awful sample size.
PGA DFS Recent Form
We look at 11 weeks for our recent form, and because we are early on the season, we only will have one or two that reached eight starts. That won’t be the case 11 weeks from now.
Positives
- 27 golfers in the field have made at least three straight cuts. It seems like a lot. That number dips to 12 when you look at four straight and only two, Brendan Todd and Alex Noren, have made five cuts in the last 11 weeks.
- Todd is the only one with four top 25s, while Paul Casey, Bo Hoag, Scottie Scheffler, Vaughn Taylor, Kevin Kisner, J.T. Poston and Tyler Duncan all have three.
- Rickie Fowler and Tony Finau will look to make it three straight top 10s, as they hope to continue this hot form through the beginning of the season.Â
- Â Eight golfers have at least two top 10s in the last 11 weeks, and they include Cameron Davis, Tony Finau, Kevin Kisner, Abraham Ancer and Henrik Norlander.Â
Negatives
- Six golfers are entirely out of form, missing there last three cuts: Russell Henley, J.J. Spaun, Andrew Landry, Adam Schenk, Bo Van Pelt and Vince Covello.Â
- 10 golfers have at least four starts in the last 11 weeks and have no top 25s. They include Cameron Percy, Sepp Straka, Xinjun Zhang and Sam Ryder.Â
