We are 10 full weeks into the season and now have an average of six starts per player. That’s a much better sample size to judge from and should make recent form information much more useful and actionable when making Players Championship picks.
Awesemo is running a special PGA Giveaway for the Players Championship on March 12! Win an Awesemo+ Yearly Pass by guessing the WINNER of the Players Championship HERE. One random winner will be selected among all correct entries. Good luck!
PGA DFS: Recent Form Since the Tournament of ChampionsÂ
Opening Remarks
Tyrrell Hatton has made the most of his two starts, winning last week and coming in sixth the week before. He’s the only golfer in the entire field with fewer than three starts. Thirteen golfers have competed eight times in the last 10 weeks, including Sungjae Im, whose win and third-place finish during the previous two weeks has him in the best form we’ve ever seen from him.
PGA DFS: Positives
- Rory McIlroy’s top-five streak continued last week, capturing his fourth straight to start the season. The No. 1 golfer in the world will be defending his title this week and will need a good finish to retain that No.1 ranking.
- Bryson DeChambeau is the only golfer other than McIlroy to have more than two top-fives, while 16 other golfers have at least two. A few of those golfers are Patrick Reed, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Tommy Fleetwood, Joel Dahmen, Jon Rahm, Daniel Berger, Webb Simpson and Tony Finau.Â
- Only seven golfers have averaged a top-25 in at least 75% of their starts. Those that aren’t listed above include Xander Schauffle, Max Homa and Patrick Cantlay. Â
- Twenty golfers have made all of their cuts in the last 10 weeks. A lot of them are listed above, but some of those that aren’t included: Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Talor Gooch, Marc Leishman, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Brendon Todd and Sergio Garcia.Â

PGA DFS Negatives
- Only three golfers haven’t earned a paycheck over the past 10 weeks, and they are Chris Stroud, Ryan Armour and Jim Furyk. Roger Sloan has missed six out of his last seven times, marking the only other golfer other than Stroud with six missed cuts. Mackenzie Hughes entered the Honda Classic with five straight missed cuts before his runner-up finish.
- Thirteen golfers haven’t come in the top 25 in at least their last six starts. Some of those golfers are C.T. Pan, Lucas Glover, Aaron Wise, J.J. Spaun, Cameron Tringale, Jason Dufner and Kiradech Aphinbarnrat.Â
