Saturday Weather

For the fourth straight day, it’ll be great weather out there.

PGA DFS Round 3 Recap

Early round coverage was hard to come by and CBS was not prepared. With no cameras following Jon Rahm, they missed the hole-out eagle on two. That set the tone for him for the day, as he rocketed up the leaderboard. Ryan Palmer tried to keep pace but struggled with the South Course yet again. Rahm bested everybody by at least two, but Tom Hoge, Sung Kang and Rory McIlroy all had great rounds, shooting a five-under 67.

20 golfers are within six heading into the last round.

PGA DFS Statistical Analysis

Joaquin Niemann had an amazing day with the putter, and that’s not something we see often. He gained over three strokes with the flat stick in the round. His ball striking was terrible, losing over two on the day. On the other side of that though was Grayson Murray, who gained five more strokes ball striking than his putting in round three. Mcilroy, Dylan Frittelli, Kevin Tway and Matthew Nesmith rounded out the top five in the category.

PGA DFS Third Round Picks

Top-10 Pick

Harry Higgs ($7,600)

Personally, I’ve got a lot riding on Higgs tomorrow, and since I had him in this spot yesterday, I’ve got to keep him here for superstitious purposes. I have been adamant about Cameron Champ this week as well and will start my lineups with these two tomorrow. Champ has been dominant off the tee, while Higgs caught fire with his short game today, gaining over four strokes on the day.

PGA DFS Stud or Value Pick outside of Top 10

Tiger Woods ($10,200)

A four-putt and a three missed inside of five feet is the only difference between him and the top of the leaderboard. While I don’t think Tiger can catch Rahm, being five back, he can light it up early and post a score. His strokes gained don’t look great and he is expensive, but I’m hoping that may drag ownership down a little bit.

Sneaky Pick Outside of Top 10

Cameron Davis ($7,200)

Davis has finally caught fire with the putter over the last two rounds, adding to his already strong tee-to-green game. Another golfer that is piquing my interest is Jamie Lovemark ($6,000) who is playing on a major medical this week and has got himself into a position to earn enough FedEx cup points to fulfill his requirements. His approaches have looked great the last two days, gaining almost three on Friday and 1.3 strokes today.

PGA DFS Lineup Fill-Ins

Marc Leishman ($8,000)

Maverick McNealy ($7,200)

Tyler McCumber ($6,200)
